Acryluna OnceDye: The Next Generation Acrylic Fiber for the Textile Industry
The world’s largest acrylic fiber manufacturer, Aksa Akrilik, has launched a groundbreaking new product in the textile industry, “Acryluna OnceDye”. The new patented fiber provides both comfort and durability to products without the need for complex dyeing processes.
As the world’s first acrylic fiber that can be dyed with reactive dyes, Acryluna OnceDye paves the way for more sustainable textile production. Thanks to its ability to be dyed with reactive dyes, Acryluna OnceDye saves processing time, energy and water compared to other natural and synthetic blends that require additional dye baths and chemicals. As a result, long-lasting and comfortable clothing can be produced with fewer finishing processes, thus minimizing environmental impact.
By simplifying the dyeing process, Acryluna OnceDye reduces the carbon and water footprint of acrylic-cellulosic blends by up to 20%, reducing chemical diversity, energy use and water consumption.
It also significantly increases the capacity of dyeing plants while reducing dyeing time by 25%. Acryluna OnceDye provides a significant increase in production efficiency of up to 25% compared to other natural and synthetic blends.
The result is long-lasting, comfortable clothing produced with fewer finishing processes, thus reducing environmental impact without compromising on quality.
Thanks to its versatility, Acryluna OnceDye is an ideal option for a wide range of textile products, including casual, sports, workwear and uniforms. Offered in staple fibre form, the product also stands out as a highly suitable alternative for circular knitted, woven and flat knitted fabrics.
