Aksa Akrilik Sets an Example with Its Environmental Practices
According to the 2019 Turkey results of CDP, which is the world’s largest institutional environment reporting platform, Aksa Akrilik, has raised its rating on the ‘Water Program’ to the B level while assessing rating on the ‘Climate Change’ as B- level for the second year in a row.
Thus, Aksa Akrilik was rated above the global scale average in ‘Climate Change’ and ‘Water Management’ ratings.
Aksa Akrilik, which develops productivity-oriented approaches within the framework of its sustainability approach, pays special attention to utilize the limited resources effectively in all its operations by carrying out in accordance with this perspective in its business practices. In accordance with the visionary point of being a pioneer in environmental protection and sustaining economic development in its operations, Aksa Akrilik has raised its rating on the ‘Water Program’ to the B level while assessing rating on the ‘Climate Change’ as B- level for the second year in a row within the scope of CDP’s Carbon Disclosure Project as a result of its initiatives for sustainability.
Aksa Akrilik, within the scope of the CDP program, shared its data on greenhouse gas emissions, climate change, strategies, and sustainable water use on a voluntary basis in accordance with the climate change and water program questionnaire of CDP 2019.
Using a comprehensive and independent methodology, CDP ranks companies between A and D- in the framework of good application practices related to the leadership in environmental issues such as coverage of declaration, level of awareness, management of environmental risks, and setting environmental goals. Companies that do not provide sufficient information or do not report to CDP are graded as F.
