Bolero Aims to Increase Export Revenue by 15% by 2026
Bolero, a domestic manufacturer with 20 years of experience, is entering a new phase of scalable growth in the underwear category with its “Comfort Bodywear” vision. With a monthly production capacity of 6 million units and an export network spanning more than 40 countries, Bolero aims to reach 50 countries and increase its export revenues by 15% by 2026.
Türkiye’s 20-year-old, 100% local textile brand Bolero has opened a new chapter in its growth journey by combining its production strength with a renewed vision. Bolero Chairman Mustafa Nazif Çelebi shared the brand’s transformation and future plans at a press meeting held in Tersane Istanbul.
In the new era, Bolero aims to expand not only in the socks category but also in underwear and homewear, growing under the “Comfort Bodywear” brand positioning in both local and global markets.
Emphasizing his confidence in Türkiye’s manufacturing power, Çelebi said:
“Manufacturing for us is not merely an industrial activity; it is the most concrete representation of our belief in this country’s potential, labor, and future. Every new machine, every new employment opportunity is more than an investment — it is a commitment. Bolero has been manufacturing with this belief for 20 years. Today, we are transforming this production power into comfort, quality, and sustainable growth as we enter a new era. We want to be more than a socks manufacturer — we aim to become an inspiring global brand from Türkiye.”
Leveraging Production Strength to Drive Export Growth
Founded in 2005, Bolero is recognized for consistency and quality within Türkiye’s textile industry. With its strong manufacturing expertise, the brand is now one of the highest-capacity local producers, manufacturing 6 million products per month.
Thanks to its fully integrated production model, Bolero manages all processes in-house and exports to more than 40 countries from the Middle East to Europe. In the upcoming period, the brand plans to expand both its geographical reach and product range, further strengthening its global export network. Bolero aims to diversify its investments through international brand acquisitions and strategic partnerships, while accelerating growth with a new production facility planned in Anatolia.
Expanding from socks into underwear and homewear, Bolero aims to contribute even more to Türkiye’s high value-added apparel supply chain. This growth strategy focuses not only on increasing volume but also on strengthening a production culture centered on efficiency, technology, and sustainability.
“Our measure of success is no longer just production capacity; it is the value we create, the technology we develop, and the contribution we make to Türkiye’s brand power. We are moving beyond scale, aiming to become a strong brand that directly engages with consumers and delivers comfort-driven experiences.” said Çelebi. “
Exporting Everyday Comfort: The Comfort Bodywear Vision
Bolero’s renewed brand identity aligns its manufacturing power with modern lifestyle expectations. Under the new “Comfort Bodywear” vision, product development, design, and manufacturing processes have been restructured. This transformation is central to Bolero’s expansion strategy and aims to strengthen the brand’s position in global markets with comfort-focused, high value-added products.
“Comfort Bodywear is not just a slogan but a new vision.” said Çelebi. “We are progressing with an approach that integrates comfort, quality, and sustainability at every stage of production. With the retail store we plan to open in 2026, we will engage directly with consumers, allowing them to experience the Bolero brand firsthand, and elevate our brand to a new level.”
“We Are Now a Brand That Produces Not Only Products, but Energy”
Bolero has launched a Solar Power Plant (SPP) investment to improve energy efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint. With the newly established system at its Istanbul facility, nearly 50% of the company’s electricity needs are now met through renewable energy sources.
This initiative marks a milestone in transitioning to a more environmentally responsible and cost-efficient production model. Bolero plans to expand renewable energy investments even further with a new SPP project to be commissioned in Anatolia by 2026.
“This is not merely an energy investment. It symbolizes our new era combining production power with environmental responsibility. We are now a brand that produces energy as well as products.” said Çelebi.”
Growing with Women’s Strength
Women are at the core of Bolero’s production workforce, making up nearly 60% of the company’s employees. With new production lines coming into operation, Bolero aims to gradually increase women’s employment even further.
Çelebi highlighted this as not only an employment policy but also a value-driven principle:
“Sustainable production cannot exist without women’s contribution. We see women’s labor not as a percentage, but as the cultural and intellectual strength of our company. By expanding this contribution, we add value to both the economy and society.”
From Local Manufacturing to Global Brand Building
In the coming period, Bolero will deepen its investments in digitalization, energy efficiency, and global marketing. While scaling its production capacity, the brand aims to enhance the international visibility of Turkish textiles.
This strategy seeks to transform Bolero from a manufacturing company into a value-creating structure with strong global brand recognition.
“Our strategy is a journey from manufacturing to brand-building,” Çelebi summarized. “Our goal is not only to produce more; it is to build a stronger brand influence, export lifestyle comfort as a value, and take our place globally as a lasting Turkish brand.”
