Our university, which is among the leading actors in our sectoral councils, which is something completely new in Turkey, contributes to our development goals by coming together with the business world around the collective intelligence platform.”
“We aim to bring academic knowledge into the economy ”
Noting that the way to move Bursa to the position it deserves in the world is through spreading the culture of R&D, innovation and design, Chairman Burkay said, “ULUTEK, which adds strength to Bursa’s economy with the added-value it produces, and the Technology Transfer Office, which provides important services to our companies in terms of protection of intellectual property rights, bring our university and business world under the same roof and for common goals. We carry out many activities in Bursa to transfer academic knowledge into the real industry. Our centers of excellence, which we have implemented under BUTEKOM, aim to bring the academic knowledge of our university into our economy. With this protocol we signed, BUTEKOM and Bursa Uludağ University will achieve new collaborations in the field of textiles, technical textiles, fiber and polymer technologies and composite materials. The cooperation for information and technology developed in BUTEKOM will accelerate the commercialization efforts. We will accelerate the transformation of technologies, which will offer solutions to the problems of the industry, into economic value with the synergy we have created. This cooperation includes the principles of consulting, training, research, joint project preparation and execution with the aim of increasing the R&D capacity of our domestic industry. I wish the protocol to be beneficial both to Bursa and our country.”
