Artemis Halı which Exports 60% of its Production, will Increase its Capacity by 35% by 2024
Artemis Halı, a subsidiary of Acme Holding, exports 60% of its production capacity. The brand aims to increase its annual capacity of 2 million m2 by 35%. Acme Group will invest 25-30 million euros in 2024.
According to the news in Dünya newspaper the Artemis Halı brand, which recently started the public offering process, is waiting for approval from the Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB) to open to the stock exchange, and will open 25% of its turnover to the public upon completion of the process.
Tolga Batallı, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Acme Holding, who stated that Artemis Halı works with 100% capacity, said that they have a serious share in the domestic market as a value-added product.
Batalli continued his words as follows: “With the completion of the CMB process, we will increase our capacity by 35% and commission an investment of 7-8 million euros. Our current capacity is 2 million m2 and we can provide carpet to 150 thousand households every year. As a group, we are planning an investment of 25-30 million euros for 2024. After the carpet group, we want to open the yarn and mattress divisions to the stock exchange. In the meantime, we have added solar energy investment to our plans. We will meet 65% of our energy needs by installing solar energy panels on the roofs of Kayseri, Gaziantep and Yalova factories.”
“We will Bringing Our Total Number of Stores to 750”
Tolga Batallı stated that the mattress industry, which has reached a volume of 750 million dollars in Turkey, ranks among the top in the world and that they are among the top 10 brands in the mattress industry and that they aim to be one of the top three brands within five years. Batallı: “With our production facility in Kayseri, which we built in 2022, we tripled our production track and storage area. In our production facility, we produce at world standards for an ergonomic, comfortable and healthy sleep. By the end of the year, we will open 150 new showrooms and 200 corner stores to strengthen our sales points throughout Turkey, bringing our total number of stores to 750. In 2024, our goal is to reach a turnover of 500 million Tl by utilizing our strong production infrastructure and state-of-the-art technology. Our future goals are to grow in the global arena. In the first 9 months of 2023, we added 34 countries to our export network. By the end of the year, our goal is to increase the number of countries we export to 40. Among the countries we target; Balkans, United Arab Emirates and Central Europe are in the first place.”
Noting that the Artemis Halı brand is sold at 1,600 points in the domestic market, Tolga Batallı pointed out that as a brand, they look favorably on foreign investments. Batallı: “Business people go wherever they find the opportunity because the world is now integrated. We are also looking for investment related to carpets. We had a meeting with the chambers of commerce of Egypt and Algeria; we will decide in time.” Tolga Batallı added that Turkey ranks first in the world in carpet and announced Gaziantep’s 10-month carpet exports as 8 billion dollars. Batallı: “The average unit price per m2 of Gaziantep carpet exports is 5.5-6 dollars. As Artemis Halı, our m2 unit price is 13-14 dollars. We always believe that it is right to make value-added products and branding.”
