“Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers Focus on Sustainability and Digital Transformation”
Italian textile machinery manufacturers focus on innovation, energy saving, machine efficiency and digital transformation in their R&D activities. Among Italian manufacturers, there are companies focusing on innovations related to recycling and regeneration of textile waste. Some companies are also offering solutions in the field of augmented reality and artificial intelligence (AI) to support textile customers in optimizing production using real-time data and providing both predictive and preventive maintenance of the machines used in the customer’s plant.
The Green Label is at the heart of the ACIMIT Sustainable Technologies project. The ‘Green Label’ is a document that certifies the energy and environmental performance of machines and summarizes this by assigning a value to the machine’s Carbon Footprint. As for digitalization, the ACIMIT digital certification, called ‘Digital Ready’, is designed to simplify the production process by using a standard language and a unique data reading system that enables different types of machines to dialogue with production systems. The aim of the certification is to build customer loyalty while creating a valuable bond between textile machinery manufacturers and their customers.
