Bekir Cem Köksal Named New CEO of Zorlu Holding

There has been a change in the senior management of Zorlu Holding. Ömer Yüngül, CEO and Board Member of Zorlu Holding, who has held important positions in Zorlu Group for 27 years, will retire voluntarily as of June 21, 2024. Bekir Cem Köksal will take over Yüngül’s CEO position as of this date.

Since 2002, Köksal has served as CFO (Chief Financial Officer) of Zorlu Holding and is currently a Board Member at Zorlu Holding and various Group companies. He will also serve as Deputy CEO of Zorlu Holding between February 1 and June 21, 2024. Bekir Cem Köksal will hand over the CFO position of Zorlu Holding to Vestel CFO Alp Dayı as of March 1, 2024.

Making a statement on the issue, Zorlu Holding Chairman Ahmet Zorlu said, “I would like to express our gratitude to Ömer Yüngül, with whom we have been traveling together since 1997, for his outstanding services to our group. He has made significant contributions to our group’s growth to its current size. Yüngül, who has added unique value to our group with his vision and innovative approach and has a special place in the hearts of our employees with his people-oriented approach, will continue to share his experience as a Board Member in our group companies after he hands over his CEO position. In addition to his role as CFO of Zorlu Holding, our new CEO Bekir Cem Köksal, as a member of the Board of Directors of the Holding and our Group companies, has made great contributions to the strategic plans that have made Zorlu Group one of the most valuable brands of our country. I sincerely believe that Bekir Cem Köksal will carry the flag he will take over much further. Our esteemed manager Alp Dayı, who will take over from Köksal as CFO of Zorlu Holding, will transfer his vast experience as CFO of Vestel Group of Companies, Turkey’s export champion in the electrical-electronics sector for 25 years, to our entire group as CFO of Zorlu Holding. Dayı will hand over the Vestel CFO position to Bülent Kiracıoğlu, who has performed very successfully as Vestel’s Assistant General Manager of Finance.

After graduating from Boğaziçi University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Bekir Cem Köksal completed his master’s degree at Bilkent University and worked in the banking sector between 1990 and 2001. In 1997, Bekir Cem Köksal joined Denizbank as Assistant General Manager. He joined Zorlu Group in 2002 as Chief Financial Officer at Vestel and was appointed CFO of Zorlu Holding in 2002.
