Home textile industry is hopeful for 2021
Turkey Home Textile Industrialists and Business People Association (TETSİAD) President Hasan Hüseyin Bayram stated that despite all the negativities of the pandemic in 2020, its members are working non-stop in order to contribute to the future of the sector by adapting to the new ways of doing business, trends and markets in the world.
Bayram continued as follows: “As the representatives of the Turkish home textile industry, we quickly adapted to the new process. Since the beginning of the process, we have been striving non-stop to contribute to our country’s exports, production, employment and economy. When we look at our year-end export figures, we can see this fact once again. Our exports, which were 2 billion 593 million dollars in 2019, decreased at a very low level in 2020 despite all the difficulties and reached the level of 2 billion 490 million dollars. The Turkish home textile industry has managed to export to 199 countries and regions of the world. The year-end export figures raised our enthusiasm and morale despite all the difficulties. We will continue to work with the same enthusiasm and excitement in 2021.”
