German Trützschler company, one of the leading manufacturers of spinning and nonwoven machines, was flooded with visitors on the 3rd day of ITM 2024 Exhibition. Drawing attention to high efficiency and sustainability with its products focusing on less energy consumption and waste recycling, the company attracted great interest. We interviewed with Dr. Bettina Temath, Head of Global Marketing in Trützschler, for Tekstil Teknoloji magazine.
How was the ITM 2024 Exhibition for your company? Does the fair meet your expectations?
Türkiye is one of the most important markets for us and we believe it will become even more important in the future. So far ITM has been a great experience for us because our booth has been quite busy. The advantage of the organization is that it is held in Istanbul. We had visitors from countries like Iran, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan and Egypt. The location of ITM 2024 is so strategic that all our international customers from many important markets can visit us. We all hope that ITM will be a good sign for the industry, it will allow us to make inspiring exchanges to talk about new projects, so I believe it will be an impulse for the industry. We were hoping to have quality meetings and realize some projects. So far we can say that these have been realized.
Can you briefly tell us about the products you highlight at this year’s exhibition?
In Türkiye, cost efficiency, especially in energy consumption, and the use of raw materials without compromising quality and efficiency stand out. We have the latest TC 30i new generation card, which we developed in line with these expectations. This machine offers up to 40% more productivity and higher quality while reducing energy consumption and improving raw material utilization. Another important topic at our booth is recycling. That’s why we developed Truecycled, which produces yarn from fibers recycled from textile waste. We want to make sure that no fiber is wasted.
The slogan of ITM 2024 Exhibition this year is ‘Discover the Future’. What are your predictions for the future of the textile industry?
Although the markets are down a bit globally at the moment, we believe there will be an upswing. The most important trend in the textile industry is sustainability. In the long term, the focus will be placed upon making the textile industry and the textile value chain greener. We have also been working on reducing energy consumption in our machines.
