Intense Interest to Turkish Companies at Heimtextil 2023
At the Heimtextil 2023 Fair, where the trends of 2023 are determined and professional buyers, designers, stylists and members of the press from various parts of the world also take part; In addition to home textile products such as towels, bathrobes, bed linen, curtains, upholstery fabrics, wallpaper and bedspreads, technology products and machinery were exhibited.
The fair hosted 44,000 visitors and 2400 exhibitors from 129 countries for four days. Among the countries that participated in the fair most intensely were China, India, Turkey, Pakistan, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal, France, and England. Most visitors came from Germany, Turkey, Italy, the United States, England, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Pakistan, India, and Greece.
Turkey participated in Heimtextil with approximately 315 companies
At the fair, all products that were exhibited by Turkish companies, from sustainable fabrics to curtains, from bed linen to bathroom textiles, were introduced to the visitors. By participating in the fair with 315 companies, Turkey became the third country with the highest booth rate. The companies that participated from Turkey were totaled 116 from Bursa and 79 from Denizli. More than 100 companies from Denizli also attended the fair as visitors. In addition, Turkish towels were appreciated by the visitors at the fair, where the Denizli Exporters’ Association participated for the seventh time with the brand “Turkish Towels.”
“One-fourth of the companies coming from Turkey are from Denizli”
Denizli Exporters Association (DENİB) President Hüseyin Memişoğlu, who made evaluations about the fair, stated that Denizli is a city that has been an important point of trade for thousands of years and made its first export from the textile sector. Memişoğlu; “Denizli, which is taking firm steps towards the future thanks to the power it receives from history, is represented at the Heimtextil Fair with a strong participation in 2023. This value is a new and important development in the history of Heimtextil for our city. This means that one-fourth of the companies coming to the fair from Turkey that participated are from Denizli.” said.
BCCI attracted attention at the fair with a delegation of 100 people
The Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) attracts attention at the fair with a delegation of about 100 people within the scope of the Global Fair Agency project. İbrahim Burkay, Chairman of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors, made evaluations about the fair. İbrahim Burkay stated that the home textile industry has an important place in exports due to the added value it produces, and that home textiles with export unit prices greater than $8 have a five billion dollar export target in 2023.
