Andreas Schellhammer, Head of Karl Mayer Stoll Business Unit
Andreas Schellhammer, Head of Karl Mayer Stoll Business Unit, which offers innovative solutions in warp knitting and flat knitting, technical textiles, warp preparation and digitization for weaving, evaluated ITM 2022. Schellhammer, who stated that they are happy to meet with customers face to face again, said that they collaborated with many customers from both Turkey and other Middle Eastern countries during the exhibition. Schellhammer added that the ITM Exhibition exceeded his expectations in this respect.
Expressing that it is very valuable for them to meet and greet customers and talk about the innovations in the market and the sector, Schellhammer used the following statements, “We have a large number of visitors from many parts of the world every day and we are really grateful for this. We are having very intense and comprehensive discussions with our visitors about how we can increase our capacity and number of facilities.”
Andreas Schellhammer, Business Unit Head of Karl Mayer STOLL, explained the products they exhibited during the exhibition as follows: “On the one hand, we exhibited our sustainable denim manufacturing works, on the other hand, we have technical textile products that can be adapted to many areas of use, these products are used in both textile and construction fields. For example, we have a 4-guide bars tricot machine called HKS 4-M ON. It is a great innovation for the industry with its advanced features such as improved warp beam support and spring motion assistant.”
Schellhammer evaluated the Turkish market as follows: “We have great expectations from the Turkish market. We attach great importance to Turkey due to both the country’s place in the textile industry and its geographical location being suitable for opening up to other markets. I believe that the textile industry in Turkey continues to develop at a rapid pace with high quality.”
Stating that there are many areas affected by knitting technologies, Schellhammer expressed the following regarding the digital solution forms that became widespread during the pandemic period: “The production process has become digital, but it is not sufficient just by itself. This improvement should have a benefit in getting a tangible product at the end of the process, and that’s really important. In addition, sustainability issues are becoming more and more involved in the industry. Since we know the importance of this, we think that it is necessary to focus on the point of sustainability.”
