ITM 2024 International Textile Machinery Exhibition opened its doors for the 36th time. The world’s giant textile machinery manufacturers with a wide product portfolio held at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center between June 4-8. The first day of the Exhibition witnessed productive negotiations for the participants. Serteks Tekstil Makinaları is among the companies that spent the first day of the organization quite efficiently. Since 1990, Cevat Karagören, the owner of the company producing sanforizing machines, expresses his satisfaction with the interest and participants.
How was the first day of the exhibition for Serteks?
On the first day, we had mostly foreign visitors. Iranians and Pakistanis were predominant. I can say that we had a productive start.
Can you briefly inform us about the products you highlighted at the trade show?
We participated in the exhibition with a couple of new products. The first one is a machine that will make the job of the users very easy and increase productivity to higher levels. We produced a chemical pulverizing machine for the entrance of the stenter. In the current system, since the chemicals are applied to the fabric in the padder trough, it consumes a lot and requires a high electrical power. The new machine we produced does the same job with one third of the consumption of the old system. We also brought our open width sanforizer here, which is also a new machine. Until now, we were producing machines with 2 cylinders and 2 Rubber belts. The feature of this one is that it has 3 cylinders and 3 Rubber belts.
The slogan of the exhibition this year is ‘Discover the Future!’ What are your predictions for the future of the textile industry? How are you preparing for the future as a company?
We keep up with technology. All our work is to produce efficient machines with low energy consumption. We work with a team of experts in their fields and we produce for the needs of the future.
The textile machinery sector, like many other sectors, has gone through an economic bottleneck. How do you think this event will affect the situation?
I can confidently say that ITM is much more effective and efficient than other textile machinery fairs held around the world. We spend a lot of money on fairs held abroad, but we cannot get the efficiency we want. Due to visa problems, participation is very low and we cannot get the results we expect. The results we obtained from the very first day showed us how high the potential of ITM 2024 is. Both foreign exhibitors and domestic machinery manufacturers are very satisfied.
