Latest Test Instruments For Fibers, Yarns and Composites From Textechno
Textechno demonstrates the Favimat+ Autofeed, a fully automatic single-fibre testing system, which determines the following fibre properties in a single instrument: linear density, tensile properties, mechanical crimp properties (crimp percent, removal force and stability), geometrical crimp structure, fibre-to-metal friction and bending stiffness. The sample feed unit Autofeed reduces labour for preparation of the test specimen and introduction into the test field to literally zero.
For the second time at Techtextil Textechno shows the Fimatest system, that measures the fibre-matrix adhesion by means of a single-fibre pull-out. The system consists of the Fimabond embedding station and a clamping accessory to the Favimat+. Fimatest has won the famous JEC World Innovation Award.
A further highlight is the automatic linear density and tensile tester for high-tenacity yarns Statimat 4U. This instrument is especially developed for very coarse and high-tenacity yarns with a force measuring range up to 5.000 N. Therefore, Statimat 4U is suitable to test even Aramid and hightenacity Polyethylene (UHMWPE) yarns. Textechno’s automatic capacitive evenness tester for filament yarn Covamat with its novel sensor design, automatic package changer and a high-speed yarn twister fulfills all requirements of an effective and reliable quality control system.

Certainly, we would like to increase our sales figures in Turkey to the same level as the years before. Furthermore, we are optimis- tic to sell our first instruments into the Turkish Composite industry.”
