Mimaki Redefines Standards with the New UJ330H-160 UV Hybrid Printer
The newly added UJ330H-160 UV hybrid printer to the 330 Series offers users a compact and cost-effective solution for printing on both rolls and rigid materials. Thanks to the new solution, print service providers can increase application variety without compromising on high print quality.
Mimaki, a leading supplier of wide-format inkjet printers, cutting plotters, and 3D printers, announced the launch of the new UJ330H-160 hybrid UV inkjet printer, designed to help sign manufacturers and print service providers expand printing capacity with a compact structure. The UJ330H-160 UV printer, added to Mimaki’s renowned 330 Series, brings the series’ advanced print quality and productivity into a versatile hybrid configuration. The system, which provides seamless switching between roll and rigid materials on a single platform, responds to the growing demands of flexible and investment-focused industry professionals.
Mimaki Eurasia General Manager and Mimaki Europe Sales Director Arjen Evertse commented: “In today’s printing industry, companies need to adapt to changing conditions faster than ever. Most of the time, they are expected to offer various applications with fast delivery times and high quality in limited production space. With the new UJ330H-160 model, we offer our users a hybrid UV printing solution that allows them to do more on a single system without compromising performance.”
Hybrid Design Doubles Printing Power
The newly developed vacuum-assisted conveyor feeding system in the UJ330H-160 printer ensures stable feeding of various roll materials, including previously challenging materials such as thin glass film, fabric, and synthetic leather, without wrinkling or sagging. In addition, the integrated vacuum function and fixing rollers make it possible to reliably print rigid and thick materials up to 50.8 mm, including aluminum composite panels and foam sheets.
Mimaki’s original UV inks provide strong adhesion and high scratch resistance on these challenging surfaces, helping businesses achieve a wider range of in-house applications and production, while also reducing outsourcing. Low-temperature UV curing technology expands the ability to work with a wide variety of materials, including heat-sensitive ones.
Powered by Mimaki’s 330 Printing Technology, the UJ330H-160 printer delivers high-resolution printing results for backlit, impressive glass/showcase applications, with smooth transitions, even tones, and high-density white. Transparent ink allows for creative possibilities on glossy and matte surfaces, as well as textured and embossed effects.
Thanks to UV-LED curing technology, the system requires no warm-up time and is ready for immediate printing, supporting faster job changes and consistent productivity. Configured with white ink, the UJ330H-160 reaches production speeds of up to 14.0 m² per hour, and in 2x CMYK configuration, up to 22 m² per hour, balancing top-class print quality with reliable commercial productivity.
Mimaki Core Technologies Enhance Ease of Use and Reliability
The UJ330H-160 printer offers users comfortable and reliable printing through Mimaki’s unique core technologies. Automation features, including automatic adjustment functions that help maintain optimal printing conditions without expertise, place ease of use at the center of the machine and ensure consistent print results. Together with RasterLink7 RIP software for advanced UV effects and PICT cloud-based monitoring tool for real-time production tracking, the UJ330H-160 supports more efficient and controlled workflows.
Arjen Evertse, stating that the UJ330H-160 represents the next step in hybrid UV strategies, said: “Our new model combines versatility, stability, and advanced UV printing capabilities at a competitive price level, helping our users prepare their businesses for the evolving sign and advertising market.”
The UJ330H-160 printer uses Mimaki’s environmentally friendly ELS-170 UV inks, reflecting its ongoing commitment to sustainability, and LUS-210 inks for those seeking a cost-effective solution. The inks, free from SVHC and CMR substances, provide safer working environments while supporting compliance with evolving regulations in Europe.
