New Technological Investments from Kipaş Textiles
Kipaş Holding Board Member and Kipaş Textiles General Manager Halit Gümüşer evaluated the year 2025 by assessing the latest developments, challenges, and problems in the sector, as well as the projects carried out by Kipaş Textiles, and announced their targets.
Stating that Kipaş Textiles, as Europe’s largest vertically integrated textile producer, is a preferred name in the sector in terms of innovation, quality, and sustainability, Gümüşer said that they continue to work with a focus on excellence with more than 5,500 professional employees and over 40 years of experience.
“We Launched Our New Brand fibR-e, Which Makes a Difference in Recycling”

Kipaş Holding Board Member and Kipaş Textiles General Manager Halit Gümüşer
Pointing out that Kipaş Textiles is one of Europe’s leading textile manufacturers and is specialized in the production of sustainable yarns, fabrics, and denim, Gümüşer stated that they have the quality of being a reliable supplier to world-renowned brands. Gümüşer continued as follows: “Our annual production capacity includes 80 million meters of fabric per day and 400 tons of yarn production. Among our portfolio, Kipaş Denim stands out as one of the world’s leading denim producers, while Kipaş Pants has specialized with the goal of becoming the best supplier of trouser fabrics worldwide. Kipaş Tec offers innovative solutions in the field of technical textiles, and KİPAŞ Yarns delivers excellence through our yarns. By offering a wide range of yarns from luxury natural fibers to high-performance synthetics, we meet the most demanding requirements. While producing our yarns in our own facilities, we weave with the most advanced technologies, apply the latest dyeing and finishing processes, and enrich them with coating and printing to offer the most fashionable, functional, and high-quality fabrics.
Within the scope of our targets and investments for 2025, our latest development was the launch of our new brand fibR-e, which makes a difference in textile-to-textile recycling, at Sustainability Talks on December 9, where we were an organization partner. fibR-e was developed through the collaboration of KİPAŞ Textile and Meltem Kimya and has reduced emissions by up to 74 percent. This platform stands out as a critical turning point for circular production in the textile sector. Approximately 92 million tons of textile waste are generated globally every year, but only 1 percent of this is recycled. Most waste goes to landfills or incineration facilities. This is an out-of-sight waste crisis. Regulations in Europe and other regions will require brands to take responsibility for the full life cycle of their products, and consumers will begin to ask more questions about sustainability.”
“We Developed Nomex Ecoforce, the World’s First and Only Solution”
Emphasizing that, as the KİPAŞ family, they have always attached importance to R&D and technology and will continue to develop new projects in this context, Kipaş Holding Board Member and Kipaş Textiles General Manager Halit Gümüşer said: As Kipaş Textiles, we are carrying out significant investments and innovation efforts in the field of R&D and technology. Within the scope of Kipaş Tec, among our investments in technical textiles are the commissioning of a composite material production line and significant tenders carried out for the personal armor and vehicle armoring sectors. Thanks to our technical textile collaborations, through partnerships involving Nomex and Kevlar, we have become an important player in the protective workwear sector.
We are also making advances in innovation and sustainability. We have developed Nomex Ecoforce, the world’s first and only PFAS-free solution. In addition, with the fibR-e product aimed at recycling polyester waste, we aim to increase recycling rates in the sector. This year, by launching our fibR-e recycling platform to the market, we took an important step in converting post-consumer textile waste into high-quality yarn.
fibR-e, which we developed to solve the challenges that prevent polyester from becoming truly circular, represents a breakthrough in Textile-to-Textile (T2T) recycling with its unique molecular recycling technology. Our collaboration with Meltem Kimya addresses the challenges of large-scale polyester recycling while also highlighting the importance of innovation in the textile industry. fibR-e offers brands a credible path in Textile-to-Textile recycling by converting non-recyclable post-consumer garments into high-quality, GRS-certified rTEX Chips containing 70 percent or more polyester, and Kipaş converts these chips back into certified, high-quality fibers and yarns for new collections. At its core lies the patented molecular recycling technology developed by Meltem Kimya, which incorporates textile waste into the process without the need to separate accessories; it breaks polyester down into its building blocks and rebuilds it without creating microplastics, thus enabling continuous recycling without compromising quality.
