Serkon Makina will continue its innovations in 2023

Serkon Makina, the first company to produce Turkey’s and the world’s first fully automatic CNC Cutter Machine, manufactures automatic fabric cutting machines, fabric laying machines and fabric inspection machines. Serving textile manufacturers for more than 20 years, the company continues its investments at full speed.

We conducted an interview with Cemal Karaismail, Sales Manager of Serkon Makina for the ‘Turkish Textile Machinery Sector Special Issue’ of Tekstil Teknoloji magazine.

Karaismail, who evaluated the economic, political and environmental problems, order and sales situation seen worldwide, talked about Serkon Makina’s road maps regarding this process as follows; ‘‘Of course, energy and war crises affect us as well as the world. As a domestic industrialist, there are times when we have difficulties in raw material supply. As a company, we take measures against these situations. To give an example; we proceed by purchasing products with stocks, we keep our machine parts and raw materials for at least 6 months. We do our best to be affected as little as possible by this challenging process.’’

‘‘We reduce paper consumption with our labeling machine’’

Nowadays, especially in the textile industry, the emphasis on sustainable and environmentally friendly production has started to gain importance. Answering the question ‘What will be your priorities as Serkon Makina when developing products in the new period’’ Cemal Karaismail said, ‘‘The product that the entire textile industry uses constantly and most is the paper laid on the pastel. We prevent paper consumption with our labeling machine. We ensure that textile companies using our machine make serious progress towards becoming green factories. We are also working on technologies that will reduce the electricity consumption of all our machines.’’

‘‘We had a much better year in 2022 compared to previous years’’

Cemal Karaismail, evaluating the year 2022 of Serkon Makina, which has achieved great success by producing the world’s and Turkey’s first fully automatic CNC Cutter Machine, stated that they offer technological solutions compatible with industry 4.0 with fabric reading systems, sewing mill efficiency systems and that they lead the sector. Karaismail underlined that 2022 was better than previous years for Serkon Makina and that they had a happy year in terms of both domestic market and export rates.

‘‘In 2023, we will have surprises for the textile industry’’

Noting that they spent 2022 efficiently, Karaismail announced that investment and R&D studies are continuing for 2023 with the following words: ‘‘We will increase our factory, which is currently 10,000 m2, to 20,000 m2 in 2023 by laying the foundation for the construction of an additional building. In R&D studies, we include the work we do with universities in our in-house R&D department. In 2023, let us announce our surprises that we will present to the textile industry through you.’’

Karaismail concluded his words by adding, ‘‘As Serkon Makina family, I congratulate the 2023 year of the whole sector and wish that we have many more years of export and growth.’’
