What trends does your company currently witness in the knitting machinery industry?
Unlike other areas of the textile world, the flat knitting sector has a structure that can adapt to trends and technological developments in a faster manner. Unlike traditional knitwear production, the trend towards new areas and innovative products has reached serious dimensions in recent years. For example, the fabric of the sneakers, which started to be produced in knitwear machines, has become one of the basic production methods in this sector and its share in the market proceeds increasingly. In addition to the developments in the sports world, Stoll Company puts together the infrastructure of the products in the field of indoor textiles, electronic textiles, and medical textiles, which it developed together with the leading companies in its sector. The glove, which was developed together with Bosch Company and received an innovation award at the 2019 Techtextil exhibition, is one of the best examples of studies in this field.
What developments has your company achieved in the knitting machinery market in the last 12 months?
Adapted to Industry 4.0 systems, Stoll technology has been combined under the same roof with the name of ‘Knitelligence’ by developing all machine and software infrastructures in this field. In addition, the pattern software, modeling, molding, reporting, planning, and machine interface has become much more user-friendly. Besides these developments, the company added the ‘ADF 830-24 KI W knit&wear’ machine to its product range by combining the ADF technology with the complete knit and wear system and this extraordinary partnership was offered to our liking of our customers.
What role does your company play in the Turkish textile machinery market?
At these times when we are approaching the 150th anniversary of our company, we continue to reflect our years of experience with the excitement on the first day. Turkey stands as one of the leading locomotive countries in this sense. We firmly believe that we will continue the synergy and cooperation that we have achieved with Mayer Mümessillik, which has been our representative for nearly ten years, with the same passion, trust, and diligence for many years. As one of the most important players in the industry, we continue to believe in the strength and magnitude of the Turkish textile industry and we carry on supporting our business partners.
What are your plans for the next few years?
As a result of the successful and prosperous work of Stoll Company in recent years, the factory building in Betzingen has been expanded and a significant capacity increase has been achieved. In the same region, the construction of additional technological buildings, for offices such as management and R&D, started. We are confident that with the momentum and strength we receive from our customers, we will further strengthen our top spot in the following years. Our product range has expanded with our new generation machinery in order to offer more flexible solutions for different usage areas. As a result of this, we aim to make flat knitting technology usable in different industries.
What innovations will you showcase in ITM 2020?
Stoll has been the pioneer of the technological developments in its field since its establishment. We will be honored to showcase the latest developments in flat knitting technology to our valuable business partners this year, again. Our HP machine generation, which has been on the market for about ten years and has gained the appreciation and recognition of the whole knitting market, has changed its shell as of last year and was renewed as KI. We look forward to the ITM 2020 Exhibition, where we will bring our customers together with our brand new KI machine generation.
