“Turkish Customer to Renew Collaboration with Marzoli to Install 17 Card”
Marzoli, the European manufacturer of a complete machine line for the production of cotton and synthetic fiber yarns, is one of the most established brands in the Italian textile machinery industry. The company offers highly efficient solutions for natural, synthetic, technical fiber preparation and spinning.
Aiming to develop new technologies in the textile sector, Marzoli has started to focus on textile engineering and digitalization in its production.
Marzoli’s Marketing Department Officer Ilaria Scalvini also said that Turkey has a great importance for Marzoli. “Marzoli has always been the perfect partner for this market.” she said.
Can you tell us about the product portfolio you exhibited at ITMA?
The most innovative product we presented at ITMA is CMX, the new comber with 10 combing heads, that allows a level of productivity 25% higher than the previous model. Another very important topic that we promoted is the new spinning module of 24,000 spindles. This new module, compared to a standard layout with long machines, enables customers to achieve a sig- nificant reduction in TCO (total cost of ownership).
We are promoting also the ring spinning frame MDS2 for a 50% of energy savings in suction and the flexo roving FT640, that combines the advantages of a long machine with the efficiency and flexibility of shorter machines.
We presented also the trash analyzer, for a constant analysis of the waste. For a previous analysis of trash inside the raw material, Marzoli, in collaboration with Camozzi Digital, developed an app called TaomApp with which the customer takes a photo of the raw material and the app gives back a value than can be A, B, C or D. These 4 categories represent 4 different level of trash.
What topics has Marzoli been focusing on lately?
The main message that Marzoli promoted during ITMA is that it will be the global partner for the textile industry of the future. Textile Engineering, also incorporate in the new institutional logo, perfectly represents our ability to innovate and work in close contact with customers.
This means that through its expertise, coupled with its knowledge about the IIoT, Marzoli offers to its customers digitalized spinning solutions.
Did ITMA meet your expectations?
ITMA 2019 has been a great success for Marzoli. We have had the opportunity to meet our most important customers and to get in touch with some new potential customers. We also finalized important contracts, like the contract with the Cotton & Textile Industries Holding company (Egypt). The visitors showed a great interest in our machines and innovations, especially for CMX, Trash Analyzer and Brain box.
If you assess in terms of export market, what is the importance of Turkey for your company?
In 2018 Turkey has been the most important market for the European zone. Turkey is a market that has always showed a great interest in quality and for this reason Marzoli has always been the perfect partner for this market.
In the last months, due to some macroeconomics problems (currency), sales in Turkey have decreased. But we are confident and we think that Turkey will once again become our reference market for Europe.
Are you satisfied with the Turkish customers and visitors?
Yes, ITMA has been a great success also for the Turkish market. A lot of customers from Turkey come to visit our booth to discover our solutions and innovations. We met all the most important customers and we discussed about some relevant project for the expansion of their spinning plants.
What are the demands of your Turkish customers especially in spinning machines?
The Turkish market has always relied on Marzoli for the purchase of roving frames.Starting from last year, some Turkish customers have decided to rely on Marzoli also for the supply of carding machine.
After the satisfying results obtained with the first cards C701, they decided to install a relevant number of carding machines in their spinning plants. For example, one of our main Turkish customers, after the installation of the first 5 cards, decided to renew the collaboration with Marzoli installing other 17 cards.
What are your plans for the next couple of years?
As I mentioned at the beginning, textile engineering will be the area where Marzoli focuses most. At ITMA we introduced the brain box: with our patented software MRM (Marzoli Remote Maintenance), our customers can monitor and optimize the entire spinning process, by collecting data from Marzoli machines and even from third-party machines.
Customer service is another important element in our idea of business: to satisfied in the best way customers’ expectations, we have to branches, one in India and one in USA. Our plan is to increase the number of our branches to respond promptly to the need of our customers, with a service center for electronic components and a warehouse for spare parts.
