Sustainable Energy is Our Priority
Murat Yılmaz, Marketing Manager of Yılmak Holding, said: ‘ITM enables us to meet new customers and reach people we cannot reach. There is serious interest in the fair. Having the fair in Istanbul is an important convenience for us. We are experiencing both the advantage of being in the middle of Asia and Europe and the comfort of being a householder.’
Technologies that center on energy saving and minimize the carbon footprint make a difference in the textile industry as in every field. Murat Yılmaz, Marketing Director of Yılmak Holding, points out that Yılmak Holding, which focuses on sustainable energy, is moving forward with the motto “Less chemical, less electricity”. Taking part in ITM 2024 with machine alternatives that will ensure less water consumption, Yılmak Holding participates in every fair with new and innovative alternatives thanks to its R&D activities. Introducing their newly developed machines this year, Yılmak Makine Sanayii brings its visitors together with models that emphasize sustainable energy even more compared to the previous fair. Textile is one of the sectors that significantly increase carbon emissions and environmental pollution. Underlining that they are aware of the magnitude of the threat to the environment, Yılmaz points out that they aim to reduce carbon emissions to zero by using less chemicals, less water and less electricity.
“We Produce Long-Lasting Denims”
Consumers now prefer longer-lasting, environmentally friendly products. Textile manufacturers are also aware of this trend. They shape their technologies and production according to consumer preferences. Yılmak Holding, an important denim technology manufacturer, supports the technology that will produce denims that its customers can wear longer with its machines. The technologies of the future are shaped around concepts such as digitalization, automation and sustainability. In order to survive in the textile industry, it is necessary to quickly adapt to this progress. Yılmak Makine Sanayii, which carried out R&D studies during the Covid-19 pandemic, works with the Industry 4.0 system, also called the “Dark Factory”. Yılmaz explains how the system works as follows. “We control check the efficiency of the machines and where there are problems through the automation system. We collect the data on a server, prepare monthly or weekly reports on demand and share them with manufacturers.
“ITM is a Great Opportunity to Reach New Customers”
“ITM enables us to meet new customers and reach out to people we cannot reach. There is serious interest in the organization.” Yılmaz continues his words as follows: “Having the exhibition in Istanbul is an important convenience for us. We enjoy both the advantage of being in the middle of Asia and Europe and the convenience of having a home.” Pointing out that the effects of the pandemic are behind us, Yılmaz said that the sector is at a much better point than it was two years ago.
