Textile Breakthrough in Van OIZ: 10,000 People to Be Employed
The Van Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ) is experiencing a surge in activity with new investments poised to significantly contribute to the region’s economic development. Van Governor Ozan Balcı visited the construction site of 10 new textile factories, reviewing the progress firsthand and highlighting the area’s production potential.
Investment in the Region with Support from the Ministry of Industry and Technology
With strong backing from the Ministry of Industry and Technology, and the resources of the Van Governorship and Metropolitan Municipality, a project has been launched to construct a total of 20 textile factories in Van OIZ. Once completed, this major investment is expected to provide employment for 10,000 people. During his visit, Governor Balcı received detailed updates on the project’s current status from the contractor officials.
“We Aim to Employ 10,000 People Across 20 Factories”
Governor Balcı shared important updates regarding the construction process:
“We are building our factories with the support of our Ministry of Industry and Technology, as well as the resources of the Governorship and Metropolitan Municipality. We have completed 10 factories, and we are now laying the foundation for the remaining 10. God willing, once these are finished, we will have created 10,000 jobs in the 20 textile factories we are building within the OIZ. I extend my sincere thanks to everyone involved.”
Van OIZ to Contribute to Regional Economic Development
The new production facilities rising in Van OIZ are expected not only to strengthen the region’s industrial infrastructure but also to open up significant employment opportunities—particularly for the younger workforce. Governor Balcı emphasized that investments will continue in line with Van’s goals for production, employment, and development, expressing optimism for the region’s economic future. These investments are anticipated to transform Van into not just a production hub but also a regional center of attraction.
