The International Istanbul Yarn Fair will Host Its Visitors on June 1
The International Istanbul Yarn Fair, which is one of the most important yarn fairs in Europe and Asia, will open its doors on June 1. Approximately 15 thousand visitors are expected to come to the fair, which will last for three days.
The International Istanbul Yarn Fair, which is organized by TÜYAP for the 19th time and will be attended by nearly 400 visitors, are expected from these countries: England, America, Brazil, Algeria, China, Indonesia, Ghana, South Korea, Iran, Israel, Japan, Canada, Qatar, Kuwait, Malaysia, Egypt, Russia, Vietnam.
Online Ticket Demands Increased by 25%
New halls were added to the 19th International Istanbul Yarn Fair this year upon the demand for intense participation from industry companies. With the additional halls, a 100% growth was achieved in the m2 of the fair, which was established on an area of 40,000 m2 in 7 halls in total. The demands for online tickets of this fair, which is followed with great interest by the professionals of the sector, has increased by 25% compared to the previous year.
Among the most exported yarn types in the yarn industry; synthetic-artificial filament fibers, cotton yarns, synthetic-artificial staple fibers, wool and fine-coarse animal hair yarns, vegetable fiber yarns, silk yarn as well as a wide variety of yarn types will be exhibited.
The fair, which is the meeting place of the giants of the yarn industry and domestic manufacturers, plays a key role in increasing exports. Fair participants can get support from both the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Trade and KOSGEB.
The Most Visitors are from the Countries with the Highest Exports
Turkey’s textile and raw materials export in 2022 was 2.7 million tons. While, exports of textiles and raw materials were made mostly to 27 EU countries in 2022, Italy took the first place, followed by Germany. In the same year, the second country group realising the highest export volume was African countries. Among the first 15 countries that received the highest number of visits to the Istanbul Yarn Fair, which will be held this year, these are the countries with the highest exports.
At the fair, which focuses on the cyclical economy, one of the current issues of the last period, visitors will be able to see the story of a plastic bottle becoming a sweater, step by step. Apart from an area where sample products of the participants producing recycled yarn will be exhibited, visitors will be able to get detailed product information from the exhibitors at the booth.
The fair, where environmentally friendly, high-performance and high-quality products will be exhibited, is the most important commercial meeting of the international yarn industry. The companies, which participated in the fair last year, stated that their orders increased by 81% thanks to the fair. 32 percent of the visitors said that they made a purchase during the fair. For the fair, which hosted 10,282 industry professionals in 2022, this year’s expectation is to bring exhibitors together with over 15,000 visitors.
