The Large Number of Companies that Intend to Purchase Machinery Inspired Me with Hope
Zafer Özbilge, President of Istanbul Embroidery Industrialists Association (İNSAD), to whom we extended our microphone on the first day of ITM 2024 Exhibition, stated: “There are great stands and new technologies at ITM 2024 Exhibition. Seeing the latest technology products on display broadens our horizons.”
Özbilge also said that the large number of foreign customers who intend to make purchases thanks to the event inspires him with hope.
Considering that the textile machinery sector, like all other sectors, has been going through an economically turbulent period in recent years, there is no doubt that there is a serious contraction in the market due to minimum wage increases and inflation in Turkey increasing costs. İNSAD President Zafer Özbilge stated that the troubled period in textile investments in Turkey will continue in 2025 and 2026. Despite this, Özbilge underlined that we should get used to the realities without losing hope.
Zafer Özbilge expressed that ITM 2024 Exhibition has made great contributions to the textile machinery sector in Turkey and in the world and continued: “ITM 2024 Exhibition offers innovations to the customers of the sector, which is in a bottleneck, and provides the opportunity to make value-added products and benefit from all innovations.”
Özbilge anticipates that in the focus of the embroidery sector, beads that were previously embroidered by hand, laser cuts, and beaded-embroidered models with new technologies will gain momentum and take the sector forward.
Stating that he is very hopeful for the coming years, Özbilge reminded that one of the biggest costs in Turkey is labor and noted that the goal of more production with fewer employees can take the sector forward with such organizations and new investments.
