The Technology Transformation of the Textile Industry will Occur in Denizli
The project which implemented by within the scope of Denizli Chamber of Commerce, it is aimed to change the face of Denizli textile industry and Turkish textile exports.In addition, with the project, Denizli industry and exporters will meet with high value-added textile products. The project, which was selected among hundreds of studies conducted throughout Turkey, stands out as one of the two innovative projects sent and supported by TOBB chambers and exchanges.
Speaking about the project, which was supported within the scope of the “Competitive Sectors Program” carried out by Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology and implemented by Denizli Chamber of Commerce, Uğur Erdoğan, Chairman of the Directors of Denizli Chamber of Commerce, “Denizli, the first city that comes to mind when it comes to towels and bathrobes, not only in Turkey but also in the world, meets a significant portion of the country’s annual exports in this field.” said.
Erdoğan listed the goals as follows: “To follow closely information and technology in order to achieve better positions in exports and industry, to produce products with high-added value by making the necessary investments in R&D studies, and therefore to increase production diversity.” Emphasizing that thanks to these goals, the national wealth paid abroad for imports will remain within the country, Erdoğan said, “We are increasing our target day by day in order to make a great and important contribution to the Turkish economy by opening new employment areas.”
The Project will Give a New Acceleration to Denizli’s Textile Journey
Uğur Erdoğan, President of DTO; “Our Technical Textile Center is an important initiative and innovative that will draw a new path for our industry and our city open our horizons. In addition to providing the emergence of new products and inventions, it will help companies operating with in this field related sectors business lines to cluster. The project, which will pave the way for the establishment of new companies in new business lines in our city, will lend a new impetus to Denizli’s Textile Journey. Thus, I can happily say in advance that the project will expand the product range and will increase the kilogram price of Denizli exports over time.” said.
Uğur Erdoğan; “Machinery purchase, construction/installation processes and installation have been completed for our center. As Denizli Chamber of Commerce, we are establishing the ‘Vocational and Test Training Center’ in cooperation with the Organized Industrial Zone Directorate. With our Vocational Training Center where technical textile and textile technology are located side by side, it will be possible to receive all business development, training and consultancy services for our participating companies from a single point.
With the establishment of our Denizli Technical Textile Center, at least 50 companies benefit from this center, 100 companies or entrepreneurs are given business development support on technical textiles, 30 companies’ sales and/or exports are reduced, all input costs including energy are reduced, at least 5 new companies are established and new jobs are expected to be created.”
