ITM Became More Important as Turkey’s Role in The Textile Industry Elevates
Marcus Lichtenstein, Operations Director of Toyota, one of the participants of the exhibition, stated that ITM has become more important as Turkey’s role in the textile industry increases.
Expressing that visitors from Turkey, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Egypt show interest in their products, Lichtenstein stated that their expectations from the exhibition are very high. Lichtenstein continued as follows, “There is a trend that we can call deglobalization in the world right now. This is good for Turkey because many textile fabrics that were previously imported from China are now produced and exported from Turkey due to issues such as transport problems and pandemic restrictions. I see a good future ahead of the Turkish textile industry. That’s why ITM becomes even more important.”
Like many participating companies, Toyota is exhibiting its newly developed products at ITM 2022. Lichtenstein said, “The weaving machine ‘Toyota JAT 910’ we demonstrate here has very high efficiency with low energy consumption. This is also very important.”
Evaluating that there is a great potential to grow in front of Turkey in the fields of spinning and weaving, Lichtenstein indicated that energy consumption has always been a significant problem and added: “Weaving technologies are very important in terms of reducing power consumption. 2022 is going very well for us. The interest of our customers, especially from Turkey, is very intense.”
