Vandewiele Strengthened Its Technology Portfolio and Business Connections at ITM 2026

Vandewiele Exhibition Coordinator Bart Laevens said the company exhibited its Bonas Jacquard solutions at ITM 2026 and also introduced its cable twister solution for yarn, particularly for carpets. Laevens noted that gauge parts, positioned as machine components, were also promoted at the exhibition. On the other side of the booth, he added, Vandewiele’s sister company Savio presented its spinning solutions.

Evaluating the contribution of ITM 2026 to the company’s business development goals, Laevens said the final outcome of the exhibition could only be assessed more clearly about one month after the event. Based on the first impressions, however, he said visitor numbers were lower than in previous editions, while the level of the visitors was good. With this visitor profile, Laevens said the company believed it could close some deals and was looking forward to the resulting business impact.

Commenting on the changes in the textile machinery industry, Laevens said the market is currently changing due to geopolitical developments and shifting market dynamics. He pointed to a stronger market shift towards Asia, adding that China and India are very important markets for Vandewiele. The geopolitical situation, particularly in the Middle East, remains difficult for the time being, he said.

Regarding the visitor profile, Laevens said most visitors to the booth were definitely from Turkey. The company had expected more visitors from Iran, but attendance from that market was lower than anticipated. He also mentioned visitors from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Egypt and a few European countries.

Laevens said the company closed some deals during the fair, describing this as the best result for Vandewiele. He added that the company is looking forward to the next exhibition and to the continuity of ITM.
