“We Met with Interest at the Exhibition that Exceeded Our Expectations”

Yusuf Keleş, Bedir Makina’s Finance Manager, commented, “Exhibitions become even more important in times of economic uncertainty. What our country needs most is exports. In this sense, exhibitons create added value for manufacturers and exporters.”
Bedir Makina, participating in the Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition, showcased a wide range of industrial and home sewing machines. Yusuf Keleş, Finance Manager of Bedir Makina, a company with a deep-rooted presence in the industry with 41 years of history, spoke to Tekstil Teknoloji magazine about the exhibition process and its sectoral expectations.
Yusuf Keleş said, “We wanted to offer our customers a wide range of services with machines not previously available in our product line. We are very pleased with the interest shown by visitors.” Keleş stated that they have over 15,000 different products and that they produce one-third of these products domestically, while they supply the rest from Europe and Asia. Emphasizing that they offer quality and economical solutions tailored to customer needs, Keleş stated that they expand their product range every year.
“We Follow Technology Closely”
Yusuf Keleş, stating that they closely follow technology due to the responsibility of being a manufacturing company, said, “We utilize artificial intelligence and communication technologies in our product development and marketing processes. We also implement our digital strategies through social media tools. Our goal is to ensure customer satisfaction by providing solution-oriented services.”
“Exhibitions Create Synergy by Bringing Industry Stakeholders Together”
Keleş stated that exhibitions become even more important during periods of economic uncertainty and that they see this period as a period of opportunity. Keleş explained, “Exhibition is create synergy by bringing industry stakeholders together. One step we take can yield three steps in the long run. We continue our investments with this awareness.”
“What Our Country Needs Most is Export”
Keleş, noting that exhibitions increase the interest of international visitors in the sector and contribute greatly to exports, continued: “What our country needs most is exports. In this sense, trade exhibitions create added value for manufacturers and exporters. It’s crucial for our international customers to see all industry stakeholders together. Our ultimate goal in participating in the trade exhibition is to establish new business connections. Here, we can both make new connections and form business partnerships. By exchanging ideas with various companies on their production, we have the opportunity to bring Turkish production and our own potential to broader markets.”
“Visitors from the Balkan Countries Show Great Interest in Our Products”
Keleş stated that they are focusing particularly on the Balkan countries and that visitors from these markets show high interest in their product groups. Keleş said, “They are closer to us in terms of our geopolitical location. Frankly, we’re focusing more on this market. We’re also connecting with companies from smaller markets that handle specialized work. We met with two companies on the first day of the exhibition and took notes.”
The Intense Interest is Pleasing”
Keleş noted that although the first day at the exhibition was generally quiet, this year they received more interest than expected. “The first days at exhibitions are usually slow. But it’s 3:00pm, and we still haven’t had lunch. This is a very good sign for us. The interest we’ve seen since the first day indicates the exhibition will be productive.” he said.
