Tunahan Akça, Foreign Trade Manager for Wermac, a manufacturer of ironing and transfer printing machines, said, “During the exhibition, we gained both new customers and had the opportunity to meet with existing ones. The exhibition is an important step in revitalizing the market.”
Wermac, a participant in the Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition, showcased its ironing machines and systems used in the final stages of garment production. The company’s Foreign Trade Manager, Tunahan Akça, introduced its product lines and offered sectoral assessments in a statement to Tekstil Teknoloji magazine.
“We Offer Speed, Efficiency and Innovation to Businesses”
Wermac’s product range includes machines used in the final ironing processes of the garment industry, such as presses, ironing boards, blow molding machines, and steam generators. Tunahan Akça stated that these products offer businesses speed, efficiency, and innovation. Akça said, “Clothing and garment is an ever-present industry. We develop technologies that enable companies to produce faster, more innovatively, and more quickly.”
“There are Still Customers Who Want to See New Technologies Up Close”
While Akça emphasized that the current period has been challenging for both manufacturers and trade exhibition organizers, he said the exhibition offers significant opportunities. He commented, “There are still customers and buyers who want to see new technologies up close. This exhibition is a very useful platform for them.”
“Our Goal is to Expand Into New Markets and Strengthen Our Ties with Existing Customers”
Wermac’s primary expectation from the exhibition is to reach new customers and market potential. Furthermore, renewing ties with existing customers is also a priority. “So far, our customer portfolio is primarily from North Africa, Eastern Europe, and the Turkic Republics. However, we are open to the entire world.” said Tunahan Akça, continuing: “During the exhibition, we gained new customers and had the opportunity to meet with existing ones. The exhibition is an important step in revitalizing the market.”
“We Develop Machines That Are In Line with Trends”
Tunahan Akça, highlighting the cyclical changes in global fashion, stated that Wermac has revised its products to adapt to these changes. Akça said, “There are cyclical trends in clothing, such as loose, tight, long, or short. We are developing machines to accommodate these changes.”
“The Market Began to Recover After the Second Quarter of the Year”
Akça noted that the first quarters of 2024 and 2025 were stagnant, but noted that the market experienced some activity as of the second quarter. He added that they expect this momentum to continue and increase, saying, “We hope this momentum will continue to grow for Turkiye, our industry, and our company.”
