Swissmem held a press conference where information about the preparation processes of the companies that will participate in the fair and the products they will exhibit were shared. As Tekstil Teknoloji magazine, we attended the conference held in Bern, Switzerland between 16-18 March. In the conference that lasted for 2 days; Executives of companies including Saurer, Autefa Solutions, Jakob Müller, Crealet, Staubli, Uster Technologies, Rieter, SSM, Loepfe, Benninger, Steiger Participations, Swinsol, Santex Rimar, Itema (Switzerland), Retech, Luwa, Heberlein and Bluesign talked about the latest technologies they have developed and, their work on digitalization and sustainability.
Swissmem President Ernesto A. Maurer, who made the opening speech of the conference, reminded that ITMA is an important exhibition for textile machinery manufacturers not only in Switzerland but also all over the world. Stating that commercial relations have slowed down due to the coronavirus pandemic, Maurer said, “ITMA Fair will be one of the biggest fairs held after this pause period. Our member companies; will have the opportunity to compare their products and services with their competitors and to measure the reactions of visitors. We also do not underestimate the excellent networking opportunities that ITMA will bring by fostering shared knowledge and experience with both new and existing partners. One of our key goals is to reassure visitors that Switzerland is seen as a pioneer of progress in both sophisticated digital solutions and sustainable solutions.”
