We Established Business Connections with International Customers
Cem Ünalan, General Manager of Denge Kimya, commented: “We had a very productive exhibition. We made very serious connections especially with our international customers. I can honestly say that we did not have time to sit down.”
Bringing together textile technology leaders, ITM 2024 Exhibition hosted many local and foreign professional visitors on its third day. Denge Kimya was among the companies that signed strong collaborations and new connections. Denge Kimya General Manager Cem Ünalan said that they established new business connections with their international customers during the exhibition. We interviewed with Ünalan for our Tekstil Teknoloji magazine.
Can you share your experiences as of the 3rd day of the event? How is the exhibition coming along?
We experienced a very productive exhibition. We have established very serious connections especially with our international customers and we expect them to visit our facilities in the coming days. By the way, one of the most important outcomes of the first two days was that customer groups other than our regular customers visited our booth. I can honestly say that we did not have time to sit down. We spent two days that we believe were very useful.
Could you briefly tell us about the products you highlighted at the exhibition and their benefits?
As a company that synthesizes its own formulas, when we transfer the functionalities we have developed to our customers, we offer them the opportunity to obtain products with higher added value with the features we will add to functional textiles. We show them these with live examples. This makes us different from other companies.
This year’s motto of the ITM exhibition is “Discover the Future”. What are your predictions for the future of the textile industry?
In a changing and transforming world, we are experiencing a period in which companies that react quickly will become much more prominent. Here, sustainability on the one hand and digitalization on the other are among the issues that Denge Kimya brings to the forefront. In our digitalization journey that started 5 years ago, we are about to complete the processes of digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence in everything from automation to customer service.
As in all sectors, the textile machinery sector is going through an economically turbulent period. How important do you think ITM 2024 is for the textile industry this year?
We participated in this organization again because we believe that ITM exhibitions have a great contribution to Turkey. ITM enables companies that have difficulty in obtaining visas to European countries and cannot access technology to come to our country and access it faster.
How does the organization of the event in Istanbul affect your company in terms of visitor diversity?
I think that we are now starting to see the reflections of the Istanbul Airport and similar investments realized in time more effectively, and this makes us look to the future with more hope.
