“Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition Boosted Industry Morale”
One of the leading companies in machine technologies in Turkiye, Dekat Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti., showcased its industry-shaping solutions at the Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition, backed by over 30 years of experience. The company’s Chairman of the Board, Ali Bozkan, shared insights about Dekat’s history and its current vision during his statements at the event.
Bozkan described the founding story of Dekat as follows: “Dekat was established in 1990 as a family business. In the beginning, we entered the industry by selling, marketing, and providing service support for computer-controlled machines and well-known computer brands.”
From the 2000s onward, Bozkan noted that they shifted focus to industrial machines: “We expanded our operations by importing machines from the Far East and providing spare parts and technical support—particularly to the garment and ready-wear industry. Today, we have become one of the trusted partners in the sector.” he said.
“First” Machines Introduced To Turkiye
Ali Bozkan also spoke about the innovations Dekat Makina brought to the industry: “We are one of the pioneers in this regard. Through both our own R&D and the R&D support of the companies we collaborate with, we were the first to introduce many machines to Turkiye, especially in the garment and ready-to-wear industry. For instance, we brought the ultrasonic stone bonding machine to Turkiye for the first time.”
Bozkan also noted that special machines such as stapling machines and embossed embroidery machines were exhibited at the Exhibition: “Our stapling machine can work in different sizes, particularly on leather and its derivatives. We also attracted great interest at the exhibition with a special embroidery machine that processes embossed towel motifs, which we developed after 4–5 years of R&D work.” he said.
High-Capacity Production, Lower Costs
Dekat Makina doesn’t just focus on design and innovation—it also offers machines that improve production efficiency. Bozkan stated: “In the application of shiny stones, we have now moved away from time-consuming, linear systems. We’ve developed new machines that can produce 4,500–5,000 meters in just 12 hours. Additionally, in layered pattern cutting, to prevent time loss, we use a laser scanner and cutting machine that can cut 1,500–2,000 pieces per day, including sleeves, fronts, and backs.”
Bozkan emphasized that Dekat Makina stands out not only with its products but also with its service quality: “Trust in after-sales service is everything. We are the only company in Turkiye in this field with the TSE Service Qualification Certificate. We prioritize customer satisfaction in every step—from spare parts supply to technical service.”
Bozkan also highlighted the significance of the Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition for the industry: “We’ve gone through a tough time after the pandemic. However, the Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition lifted the industry’s spirits by bringing everyone back together. Visitor interest and satisfaction were high, and we are very pleased with the attention we received.” he said, thanking everyone involved in organizing the event.
