The Global Meeting Point of the Yarn Industry Took Place in Istanbul
One of the most significant gatherings of the textile industry, the International Istanbul Yarn Fair, opened its doors for the 22nd time. Held at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center between March 26–28, 2026, the exhibition brought together manufacturers, suppliers, and buyers under one roof, shaping the global trade of the sector. The event hosted over 500 exhibiting companies from 15 countries and welcomed approximately 20,000 industry professionals from more than 100 countries.
Organized by Tüyap Tüm Fuarcılık Yapım A.Ş., the fair stands out as Türkiye’s only international specialized exhibition in the yarn sector. Taking place in Istanbul—positioned at the crossroads of Europe and Asia—the event offered a key platform for trade and collaboration, supported by its strategic location and Türkiye’s strong manufacturing infrastructure.
Procurement Delegations from Nearly 30 Countries Attended
In addition to natural yarns such as cotton, wool, silk, and linen, the fair showcased technical and fancy yarns. Products covering various stages of the production chain—including fibers and fiber products, bobbins, spools, cones, textile chemicals, and dyes—were also presented to visitors. Sustainable production approaches and innovative yarn technologies stood out among the main highlights of the exhibition.
Beyond being a product showcase, the fair served as a dynamic trade platform where international business connections were established. Procurement delegations from nearly 30 countries—including Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Iraq, Syria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, North Macedonia, and Kosovo—attended the event. Through B2B meetings held during the fair, participating companies had the opportunity to engage directly with buyers from diverse regions.
Design and Creativity Came to the Fore
The Doku Fabric Design Exhibition and Fashion Show, along with interactive event areas, enabled visitors to experience the creative journey from yarn to fabric. These activities transformed the fair into not only a commercial hub but also a source of inspiration.
A Global Hub for the Industry
İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager of Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc., emphasized during the opening that the Istanbul Yarn Fair is one of the most important platforms bringing together the industry’s production strength, design capabilities, and export vision with the global market. Ersözlü stated:
“We are proud to open one of the largest specialized exhibitions in our region and the world, which we have organized uninterruptedly for the 22nd time. This year, we are witnessing a truly remarkable picture. We are opening our doors with the participation of a total of 400 companies—250 domestic and 150 international—across five halls covering a massive 40,000 square meters. Our esteemed manufacturers, exporters, and globally recognized brands are coming together with the industry on this platform. Throughout the three-day exhibition, we hope to see highly productive collaborations with strong participation. We aim to host around 20,000 visitors in total and wish this major event to be beneficial and successful for our country and our industry.”
