Elteksmak Advances the Number of Machinery Exports Every Year
Celebrating its twenty-fifth foundation year, Elteksmak is among the most established companies in our country in the textile machinery industry. The company, which has been specialized in the field of drying technologies since its establishment in 1995, carries out more and more exports every year.
Last year, Elteksmak, which had a successful year especially in terms of export-oriented production, succeeded to tear out the understanding, which saw Turkish machinery merely as an alternative in many regions of the world thanks to the investments made by the company in terms of its production facility to be more effective and the R&D activities that were carried out to further improve product quality.
Elteksmak, which is among the leading companies in the production of continuous tumbler machines, ram machines, belt dryers, steaming and dry fixing machines and auxiliary equipment, which are indispensable for textile dye houses in the finishing and drying technologies, produces systems that are in the position of a final product. In addition, it produces and delivers 5 different types of machines, which are produced separately or individually by many companies, in a single facility under the same roof.
The machinery of Elteksmak in miscellaneous dimensions is currently operating in more than 40 countries around the world. However, especially when observing the last period; High volume markets such as Uzbekistan, Egypt, Pakistan, and the USA came to the fore for the company. According to the market demand, all machines of the company are exported in roughly similar numbers.
Paying special attention to train young and dynamic engineers within its body, Elteksmak is trying to transform engineers into experts on their individual systems with an approach focused on learning and teaching.
“We have overcome this period without any loss in the number of orders”
Elteksmak Regional Sales Manager Metin Zorlu, who stated that the pandemic outbreak will have aftershocks until the end of 2020 and in connection with that, there will be a relative contraction in the markets in the following period, continued his statements as follows in his exclusive interview to our Textile Technology magazine:
“We believe that we will analyze the current situation comprehensively and overcome this crisis splendidly both as a firm and as a country. If we take a look at the sales figures for 2019, we see that it is shaped as 68 percent export and 32 percent domestic market. Our export / domestic market rate is approximately at these levels every year. Of course, if we consider our annual production increase, we export more machines every year, even though the rate remains approximately the same. We can attribute this increase to the efficiency of our sales and marketing activities and the ability of our technical team to transfer all the benefits of developing technology to our machines in the best way possible.”
Zorlu stated that in 2020, due to both the troublesome pandemic period and subsequent measures taken, there were disruptions in the supply chain, machine demands, and even in collections from time to time, indicated that as a company, they survived this period with minimum losses through appropriate planning and carefully tailored measures. Zorlu said, “Effective strategies, which we have already carried out before 2019 and the pandemic period, and implemented through our sales department, have also yielded its fruit in this period, and we have survived this period without any loss of order except for a few postponements.”
“Industry 4.0, Herald of a Disparate Age”
All the software of the machines is created within the body of Elteksmak, with a 25-person electrical and automation team consisting of engineers who are experts in their fields of software and automation and young technicians focused on learning, teaching, and creativity. Instead of directing its customers to third-party ready-made applications in terms of software and automation requirements, the company creates efficient systems so that it can perform all its service activities firsthand. The company, which regularly pays attention to integrate the latest technologies into software and automation systems, offers several features such as remote access, remote fault detection, repair, and adaptation to facility process control software as standard features in its machinery.
Elteksmak, which performs serious endeavors on software systems based on Industry 4.0 protocols in all of its machinery, stores physical performance data, instantaneous running data, recipes of processes for the machinery on secure servers that can be accessed by users with one click. In this way, the company offers machine performance analysis to its customers in the most accurate and objective way. Elteksmak can integrate all the machines of the user companies into the total facility process tracking software and offers its customers a software system that can support all protocols such as MODBUS, TCP/IP, CAN, and ETHERNET.
Zorlu, stating that Industry 4.0 is the herald of a disparate age, continued his statement as follows:
“We are talking about smart systems that can communicate with each other, maybe even learn from each other, and exchange information without interruption. To be honest, the awareness of this situation in our country does not seem to be at the desired level. We can still say that our technology investments are behind the age we are in. Still, without creating a very despairing picture, we cannot deny the fact that awareness has evolved over time and that there are major investments on the subject. We think that it is early for now to speak in terms of the competitive environment. However, it seems that it is time to examine countries such as Germany, the USA, and India that have made significant progress in the fields of engineering and software, especially in Industry 4.0.”
