ITM 2022 is an Industry-Leading Exhibition”
ITM 2022 International Textile Machinery Exhibition hosted textile technology leaders and visitors from all over the world for 5 days in Istanbul. The participating companies, which updated their connections and established new collaborations during the exhibiiton, left ITM 2022 satisfied. One of those companies was Elteksmak. We interviewed with the Company’s General Manager Eyüp Poslu for our Tekstil Teknoloji magazine.
Can we get your opinions on what the ITM 2022 Exhibition, which was held for the first time after a three-year break due to the pandemic, gain to the industry?
ITM 2022 is an industry-leading exhibition. Current, creative productions are exhibited at ITM. Many investors who have seen new technologies make their decisions here. Some even change the directions they set. Due to these features, ITM has become a leading exhibition in the sector.
Did ITM 2022 Exhibition meet your expectations?
After three years of pandemic and the economic conditions in our country, I did not expect such a high participation. It’s going much more efficiently than we hoped. The exhibition has exceeded our expectations even in the first two days.
What is the difference between your products that you are exhibiting at the exhibition from your competitors and what advantages does it provide to users?
We are a company that produces drying and heat setting technologies. We have brought our new generation Stenter machine. Today, we are ahead of our competitors with the advantages it provides against the increasing energy costs. We also have a tumbler machine. We are the only one in Turkey producing tumblers and one of the three companies in the world.
What kind of cooperation have you signed during the exhibition?
We conducted interviews with our current customers. We have reviewed some of our ongoing projects. We have discussed with several countries about new agencies. I don’t see sales as a collaboration. That’s the point at which this business has achieved commercial success.
What are your opinions about the Turkish textile sector?
The Turkish textile sector suffered a collapse at the beginning of the pandemic period, but recovered quickly within a month or two, turning the crisis into an opportunity. It produced at full capacity for two years. Turkey currently holds the position of the most prestigious textile producing country in the world. I think it will go like this for a while longer. We are not only a country producing quality textiles, we also have a say in the world with the machinery and chemical sectors that support it.
What are your predictions about the trends and innovations in textile technologies in the world in the near future?
Recently, new studies have been carried out on special fibers, synthetic fibers and their mixtures. I think that synthetic fibers will enter the textile sector much more, with this, the use of recycled fibers will increase, and natural fibers will be sold at a separate added value.
