Pluvia Provides Capacity Increase and Savings Simultaneously
Tachyon Machinery, continuing its production activities in its modern factory located in Çorlu, was founded by a team of engineers who had provided energy efficiency consultancy to many leading companies, especially in the textile sector, and produced energy recycling systems before 2013. The team of engineers that established Tachyon Machinery company in 2013 believed that an efficient washing procedure and some certain changes in the process flow can increase the quality, provide efficiency and save a lot of energy, at the same time. In this context, the productions carried out under the roof of Tachyon are put on the market under the Pluvia brand.
In Compete with German and Italian Machinery Manufacturers
In general, the machines can be categorized as continuous wet processing machines used in textile finishing. Among them, the most commonly used are dyeing and post-printing washing, pre-fixing washing, and continuous bleaching and optical whitening machines. The company, which is the only Turkish machine manufacturer that specializes in the production of machines for this special process, competes with German and Italian machine manufacturers, which have 60-70 years of experience, in all world markets.
Rope-form washing is performed with ‘Pluvia Circum Dye’ unit. Most of the water and steam normally used in HT dyeing machines is utilized during the washing after the dyeing process. 40 liters of water consumption, which is around 60 liters in total, and 3-3.5 hours of the process, which is around 8 hours in total, is spent in washing. Circum Dye completes this process with 10 liters of water consumption and provides a capacity advantage of around 40% by allowing HT dyeing machines to spend time only on dyeing, which is their primary task.
It contributes to the significant savings in the energy usage rates of the players in the sector and the capacity increase of the manufacturing facilities. Better fastness and touch results in the final products are another advantage of these machines.
With the ‘Pluvia Circum Print’ unit, the process is started in open-width cabinets that will provide the necessary waiting times for washing after disperse and reactive printing, and fastness improving washes are completed in rope form.
Thanks to the patented drum structure of the ‘Pluvia Maxime Drum’ machine, the most delicate fabrics, including silk, are washed after printing and dyeing in a way that will get the best results without any damage.
On the other hand, the company, which also has important works in the continuous bleaching machine, which has critical importance in bleaching the fabric to become the final product, is ahead of its foreign competitor with a machine length of 48 meters in traditional bleaching processes with only 17 meters of ‘Pluvia Pura’ unit. It provides a cost advantage of approximately 50%. In addition, an Optical whitening machine can be optionally appended to this machine.
Government incentives for energy and water saving
Governments and main buyers are becoming more sensitive every day regarding water, which is observed as a scarce resource. In the past, this issue was seen only as a cost-reducing study. However, nowadays, environmental awareness is much more than a necessity, it has become a responsibility towards nature and the future of people. Taking this into account, European buyers evaluate and classify their suppliers according to their water and energy consumption, and reward companies that meet certain parameters with orders, while reducing their order quantities to others. For example, the Inditex group is currently encouraging its suppliers to acquire the Join Life label. The content of this label, on the other hand, requires the use of sustainable raw materials and/or the use of at least one environmentally friendly process in production processes. At this point, saving more than 60% of water and energy in washing after dyeing with the Circum Dye machine is very beneficial for businesses to obtain this label.
As is known, a Presidential decree that is published in the last week of June once again showed how important this issue is. ‘‘Investments that can save at least 15% water or reduce emissions/waste in the project approval by TÜBİTAK MAM Environment and Cleaner Production Institute’’ were included in the scope of the incentive. This will guide textile industrialists both for the renewal of old, inefficient machines that consume a lot of water and for the use of environmentally friendly machinery in new investments.
Currently, Tachyon Machinery, which has many big customers in countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Egypt, Uzbekistan, is working hard to diversify its export markets. The goal of the company is to achieve 70% of exports from the total of its production. The company, which carries out sales activities with its own expert team in the country, has also completed its distributor structuring in large markets abroad.
