Avtech Introduces the World’s First Carpet Fringe Automation System
Yücel Avcı, General Manager of Avtech stated that the company is raising the level of automation in carpet manufacturing with the innovative solutions it showcased at ITM 2026. He emphasized that their fringe automation system, a world-first innovation, has attracted significant interest both in Türkiye and international markets.
Developing automation solutions for the textile and carpet industries, Avtech presented its latest technologies designed to enhance production efficiency at ITM 2026. General Manager Yücel Avcı noted that the exhibition is of great importance for the company in terms of establishing new business partnerships and strengthening its presence in international markets.

Providing information about the innovations showcased at ITM 2026, Avcı highlighted that the fringe automation system developed for the carpet industry is the first of its kind in the world.
Avcı explained that the fully automated system enables carpet fringe stitching operations to be carried out without human intervention. He also noted that the company has developed machines equipped with four different edge-cutting and sealing stations. In these systems, carpet edges are automatically cut, folded and bonded using ultrasonic technology. According to Avcı, these solutions provide manufacturers with significant savings in both time and labor.
Strong Demand from International Markets
Stating that the new-generation automation solutions have attracted considerable attention in the market, Avcı said that they have received particularly strong demand from carpet manufacturers in Gaziantep.
In addition to Türkiye, the company has also received inquiries from key markets such as Egypt, the United States and Brazil. Avcı emphasized that the technologies developed by AVTECH have gained competitiveness on a global scale.

Avcı also underlined the importance of ITM in the company’s growth journey, describing the exhibition as a significant milestone in Avtech’s expansion into the carpet sector.
He noted that the company held meetings with visitors from various countries throughout the exhibition. Avcı revealed that they had discussed a customized project with a customer from Belgium and aim to finalize the collaboration after the exhibition. Emphasizing Avtech’s strong position in developing innovative and tailor-made solutions, he stated that ITM 2026 has been highly productive in creating new business opportunities.
Avcı pointed out that increasing labor costs are encouraging manufacturers to invest more heavily in automation, leading to a significant transformation across the industry.
He added that Avtech will continue to develop solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs and optimize production processes, while further contributing to the industry through innovative automation technologies in the years ahead.
