Celebrating June 5th World Environment Day, Doğtaş continues to contribute to nature with its recycled fabrics. Doğtaş recycles 1,000 PET bottles for 25 meters of fabric used in a sofa with Recycle fabric technology and aims to produce 40% of its fabric production from recycling by 2024.
In order to leave a clean world to future generations and to obtain sustainable resources, recycling must be taken care of. It is important to minimize consumption and make materials reusable in order to create a balance in nature.
Doğtaş works on sustainability and contributes to the recycling of plastics that cause microplastic pollution in soil and water. Doğtaş, which makes environmentally sensitive production thanks to Recycle armchairs, recycles 1000 Pet bottles for 25 meters of fabric used in an armchair.

40% of the 2024 Collection will make from Recycled Fabrics
Doğtaş aims to produce 40% of its 2024 collection from recycled fabrics. Stating that, however, the use of recycled materials will not be limited to fabrics, Doğtaş Brand and Product Director Çağrı Öztürk said: “Nature’s self-renewal process cannot keep up with the speed of human consumption and pollution. Recycling is the most effective way for plastics, which are difficult for nature to transform and can remain in nature for hundreds of years. In this way, it is possible to prevent environmental pollution, conserve raw materials and reduce the need for energy. We use not only sofa fabrics but also wood from trees grown for the furniture industry. In the future, we aim to produce smaller objects, such as home accessories, by transforming different materials.”
Recycling from Different Materials
