Penti will Increase Its Use of Recycled Polyester to 95%

Penti evaluates its sustainability targets under three different headings: products, production factories and stores, within the framework of a 10-year plan. The brand, which incorporates new technologies that can reduce the use of water, energy, and chemical products in its production processes, aims to increase the use of sustainable cotton and recycled polyester to 45% by 2025, to 60% by 2027, and to 95% by 2030.

Penti Leads Change
The brand brought together fashion lovers with its first recycled collection under the slogan “I’m Ready for Change” In 2021. Penti recycled 1 million plastic bottles and more than 5 tons of industrial nylon waste for the production of this collection. The firm explained that by using 45% less energy and 20% less water, it has achieved 30% less carbon emissions in its production processes.
With this collection, it became the first Turkish retail brand to receive a special award in the category of ‘Leading Change’ in Turkey from the international platform ‘REPREVE® Champions of Sustainability’ for its support for sustainable fashion.
