Groz Beckert at ITMA Asia + Citme with Its Wide Product Portfolio
For more than 170 years, Groz-Beckert, the world’s leading supplier of industrial machine needles and precision parts for knitting, weaving, felting, tufting, carding and sewing, participated in ITMA Asia + Citme. The company brought together the latest innovations and technologies with its visitors.
Two New Knitting Systems were Exhibited
Two newly developed knitting systems, which were implemented together with machine builders, presented in the Circular knitting segment. The developments focused on energy savings, extended cleaning intervals and increased process reliability. The Flat knitting area presented a newly developed high-speed needle, which is particularly suitable for manufacturing technical or medical textiles. The company has developed sock and fine sock needles as well as system parts for customers in the Legwear segment. The products help to reduce the costs of the knitting process thanks to their high resistance. The Warp knitting product group presented new needle modules and the newly developed guide needle for piezo jacquard machines at the booth.
Improved technical combs were introduced
In addition to the machines for weaving preparation, the weaving product area presented its recently expanded portfolio of technical reeds. The new reeds enable us to supply customers who produce high-gauge woven fabrics. These reeds are used in the manufacture of woven fabrics for technical filtration, membrane technology, solar cells and touchscreens, for example.
New Felting Needle Module from Groz Beckert
The Felting (Nonwovens) product area presented products and services for traditional needling and hydroentanglement. Visitors can expect two world firsts in the felting needles segment: a new barb shape and the Groz-Beckert felting needle module. In the felting needle module, for the first time the needles are embedded in a plastic mold as a module. The needle modules are characterized by very high torsion strength and offer new dimensions of needle density.
Tufting Division Presented Gauge Part System
The Tufting division presented the proven Gauge Part System for producing tufted floor coverings such as carpets, bath mats or artificial turf. The coordinated combination of the different individual part materials and the functional interplay ensure impressive results in the production process.
Stationary and Revolving Flats came to the fore
The Carding product area presented various new and further developments. For example, the world’s finest interlocking wire for reduced crash risk included for interested parties in the nonwovens industry. For customers in the spinning industry, the division presented further developed stationary and revolving flats. The new revolving flats have been adapted for processing fine yarns, while the stationary flats have been fitted with a new, durable aluminum profile.
The Sewing Department Focused on the SANTM Needles
The Sewing product area focused on presenting its special application needles, SAN™. The SAN™ series of sewing machine needles has been specially developed for demanding sewing operations – e.g. for sewing technical or fine textiles. The division also presented its new Needle Finder. The Needle Finder is an interactive tool in the online customer portal that helps with selecting the right needle.
