Italian Companies Took New Business Opportunities in Turkey
16 Italian textile machinery manufacturers, who came to Turkey with the organisation of Italian Trade Agency (ITA) and ACIMIT, which supports the global business development of Italian companies, participated in ITM 2024 Fair, the most important meeting of the sector, held between 4-8 June. Italy’s leading companies in the field of textile technologies presented their latest technological solutions and products to the Turkish market in this exhibition.
ITM 2024 International Textile Machinery Exhibition, one of the world’s most important organisations in its field; hosted the leaders of textile technologies in Istanbul for 5 days. Italian companies participating in ITM 2024 Exhibition laid the foundation for new collaborations in Turkey by exhibiting the latest innovations and sustainable technologies for the textile and clothing industry.
Italian textile machinery attracted attention with its high technology and equipped products especially for Asian, European and American markets. Turkey maintained its position as the second largest foreign market for Italian textile machinery manufacturers after China.
In 2023, Italian textile machinery exports reached a value of 2 Billion Euros, accounting for 86% of total production. Turkey continued to hold an important place in Italian textile machinery exports with 183 Million Euros. With this exhibition, Italian manufacturers had the opportunity to further strengthen their trade relations with Turkey. These figures once again revealed the importance of Turkey for the Italian textile machinery industry.
