“Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition is an Important Platform for Us to Connect with the Heart of the Ready-to Wear Industry”
What are your expectations from the Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition? What kind of value do you expect this organization to create for your company?
Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition is an important platform for us to connect with the heart of the ready-to-wear and textile industry — from manufacturers and machinery partners to innovators and decision-makers. Our main expectation is to foster meaningful conversations, showcase how Groz-Beckert’s needle innovations and system solutions can improve productivity, quality, and compliance, and gain firsthand insight into the evolving needs of the market. It’s also a great opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to supporting sustainable and efficient textile production.
“We Will Showcase Our Newest Products and Services”
How do you evaluate the contributions of Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition to the Turkish economy and especially to the garment and ready-to-wear industry? What kind of role do you think such organizations play within the sector ecosystem?
Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition will be organized for the first time. It will also be the first exhibition of this kind for us to join as an exhibitor after 2018. We expect to welcome our customers and partners from garment and ready-to-wear industry on our booth and have inspiring discussions and showcasing our latest products and services. Such organizations can play an important role to offer opportunities for suppliers, resellers and manufacturers to come together in a concentrated way for exchange of information, develop and sustain relations. It is important to coordinate the timing of such organizations carefully without overlapping with other similar organizations in order to make sure it will be effective for exhibitors and visitors.
“Special Application Needles (SAN™) Designed for Demanding Sewing Operations will be at the Spotlight at the Exhibition”
Can you provide information about the products and technologies you plan to exhibit at the exhibition? Are there any innovations or solutions for sector needs that you would like to highlight?
At Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition, Groz-Beckert will showcase its comprehensive range of products and services from the Sewing product sector. The spotlight will be on special application needles (SAN™), which are designed for particularly demanding sewing operations.
The SAN™ 5.2 needle, for instance, is ideal for sewing technical textiles such as airbags or car seats. Its enhanced stability and secure loop formation make it especially suited for these applications. For processing woven fabrics like denim, the SAN™ 6 ensures high process reliability. Both the SAN™ 5.2 and SAN™ 6 are equipped with GEBEDUR™ coating, which protects the needles – especially at the point – from wear and abrasion.
The slender yet dimensionally stable SAN™ 10 is used for sewing fine knitted and woven fabrics. The even more delicate SAN™ 10 XS is perfectly suited for extremely fine or critical materials. Its ultra-slim design offers maximum protection against material damage.
For challenging embroidery applications such as cap embroidery or 3D embroidery, the DBxK5 SAN™ 1 needle is the needle of choice. Its increased stability and GEBEDUR™ coating allow it to meet the high demands of such applications.
In addition, Groz-Beckert will present its patented INH Quality Management (Ideal Needle Handling). INH provides sewing plants with a comprehensive solution for managing sewing machine needles in the production process, with a particular focus on the complete and digital documentation of all needle changes and breakages.
INH includes components such as the trolley and the needle return box, which assist during needle changes. For digital documentation, the INH@Site app is available, while the browser-based INH@Office software handles data management. Finally, Groz-Beckert offers its customers a wide range of digital services. The Customer Portal not only features an online shop with detailed product information, but also includes the Needle Finder. Based on numerous sample applications, it offers needle recommendations for various seams and sewing tasks. With the “Groz-Beckert Sewing” video series, Groz-Beckert experts share their knowledge on industrial sewing and sewing machine needles through concise and informative videos.
Are there any new collaborations, customer profiles or markets that you aim to reach during Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition? How do you think the exhibition will contribute to these goals?
At Groz-Beckert, 2025 is all about deepening partnerships and accelerating innovation — particularly in areas like smart manufacturing, digital process optimization, and sustainable production.
