“Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition Became A Source of Motivation for the Industry”
Interview by: Tuğba KARADEMİR
Keçoğlu Biraderler, a company known for integrating artificial intelligence technologies into production processes in the textile and garment industry, showcased their innovative solutions at the Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition. Company representative Mahmut Keçoğlu shared his insights on both the current state of the industry and the opportunities the exhibition provides.
As Garment Tech Istanbul Exhibition became a meeting point for local and international visitors, Keçoğlu Biraderler stood out with their AI-powered production technologies. Mahmut Keçoğlu offered assessments on a variety of topics, from the products exhibited at the exhibition to the technological infrastructure behind them.
“We Offer Products with the Highest Use of Artificial Intelligence”
Speaking about the products they displayed at the exhibition, Mahmut Keçoğlu emphasized that they use the latest technology in production: “If you look at our product range, as a brand we are bringing in the most advanced technology. Compared to the market, our products are among those with the highest application of artificial intelligence. We manufacture in the Far East, in China, but entirely under our own brand and with a selective approach.”
“Artificial Intelligence Increases Production Speed and Reduces Costs”
Keçoğlu highlighted how AI and automation systems significantly benefit manufacturers: “Normally, when a machine is fed manually, the process takes much longer. But when you use artificial intelligence, instead of producing one product per minute, you can get 10 to 15. This dramatically reduces costs.”
“Garmnet Industry is Going Through A Difficult Period”
Noting that the global garment industry is going through a difficult period, Keçoğlu underlined the source of motivation of such exhibitions for the sector: “There’s a major global crisis in our sector. We had some doubts about participating, but we’re here to showcase our technologies and connect with companies. We’re genuinely pleased that the exhibition was organized.”
“International Visitors Are a Great Opportunity for Us”
Emphasizing the importance of relationships formed with international clients at the exhibition, Keçoğlu pointed out the strategic advantage of Istanbul’s location:
“Foreign visitors provide us with the greatest support. If we can serve them, that’s a great success for us. We have a broad product range and we engage in both exports and imports.”
Sharing his forecasts about future industry trends, Keçoğlu stressed that automation will continue to grow:
“The fewer the personnel and the more the technology used, the greater the benefit. Visiting clients are also interested in such products. The goal is to achieve higher performance with fewer people.”
“2025 Started Rough, But We Remain Hopeful”
Reflecting on the first half of the year, Keçoğlu acknowledged the uncertainty in the industry but remained optimistic:
“Each passing year seems worse than the last. This year also started off poorly. There’s a lot of uncertainty in the market. But we remain hopeful that things will improve.”
