Laip to Further Increase Its Activities in the Turkish Market

Laip, integrated all its dyeing machines into industry 4.0, recently supplied a complete dyeing plant to Garanti Iplik, one of the Turkish company, covering everything from the opening of cotton bales to the pneumatic conveyance of the dyed and dried staple to the mixing chamber.
Laip, which started in 1958 with overflow machines dedicated to wool, today has a product range of dyeing machines for fabrics, fibres, yarns, tops and tow, designed to guarantee high performance levels along the entire dyeing process. Exporting 75% of its turnover, the company’s main markets include Turkey, Western Europe, the Middle and Far East, as well as Central and South America.
As Tekstil Teknoloji magazine, we interviewed with Massimo Becheri, General Manager of Laip Srl. The highlights of the interview in which Becheri talked about the features of the Jet 250 machine, environment and energy friendly products and R&D projects are as follows:
“We Have Been Expanding on International Markets”
We started our activity, in 1958, serving the local and Italian market mainly with our overflow machines dedicated to wool. Since then, Laip has been expanding on international markets our major markets are Western Europe, Turkey, the Middle and Far East but also the Central and South America. In any case, we register that our technology is more and more worldwide appreciated, and we are receiving many requests even from other markets.
“Recently We Invested a Lot in The Construction of Reliable Dyeing Machines”
Our extensive production range includes dyeing machines for fabrics, fibres, yarns, tops and tow, designed to guarantee high performance levels along the entire dyeing process. We are specialized in the provision of complete lines for what concerns the dyeing of fibers and tow including the cotton bleaching (for medical use also). Recently we invested a lot in the construction of reliable dyeing machines able to process high percentage of elastic fiber for fashionable and sportive textile products. Our R&D department is constantly working on solutions to dye yarn and the most complex and sustainable fabrics. The relationship with the client is, for us, fundamental. Before and after sales: our customer are our partners, thanks to the tight relations we developed with them we can solve any kind of needs they might have in dyeing.
Jet 250 Dyes Sensitive and Delicate Fabrics Preventing Product Downgrading
Saving production costs is mandatory for any company. Market is more and more competitive, and the working process must target to efficiency. Our machines are conceived for this. For example, our Jet 250 dyes sensitive and delicate fabrics preventing product downgrading and eliminating the risk of machine downtime. Having this dyeing machine means to be sure about the final results of production without loosing time.
“All Our Dyeing Machines are Complaint to Industry 4.0 Requirements”
Digitalization is a necessary trend textile manufacturers must follow. In Laip we pay close attention to it and to industry 4.0 in general. Thanks to Industry 4.0 it’s possible to grant accurate control of production, to increase quality and to reduce costs.
All our dyeing machines are complaint to Industry 4.0 requirements, it is a natural consequence of our aim: help textile company to have better performance with less consumption and production optimisation.
Nautilus, Minimizes the Consumption of Water
Customer’s attention is more and more focused on eco-friendly products, meaning with a low impact on the consumption of water and chemical products. We are working on that since many years: Nautilus, for example, minimizes the consumption of water. Moreover, we studied innovative systems in order to take back consumed hot water’s heat to reduce steam consumption. That’s how Heat Recovery System allows our customer to minimize the consumption of steam to heat water.
Recently We Supplied to Garanti İplik, one of Turkish Company
Turky is very important market for Laip, we developed many interesting projects thanks to the long lasting collaboration with our agent, and friend, Mr. Saruhan Oguz. Recently we supplied to Garanti İplik, one of Turkey’s largest cotton spinning companies, a complete dyeing plant: from the opening of cotton bales to the pneumatic conveyance of the dyed and dried staple to the mixing chamber. The fully automated line (24h/7d) is fully integrated and digitalised: a robotised overhead crane, remote supervisor checking, and numerous other technologies means that the plant fully lives up to all industry 4.0 criteria.
In our vision, together with the fiber and tow dyeing market, we will widely develop also the fabric dyeing market as there are many fabric manufacturer who need our innovative and tailor made technology to meet market demands.

We will be at next ITM exhibition in Istanbul to personally meet clients and companies intetrested in our latest solutions.
2023 has been a very important year for us. ITMA in Milan was the first time we showcased our total new image and we reaffirmed the growth of our brand. Many orders have been closed and negotiations of big deal are on the way. For 2024 we forecast to see growing our business especially in Turkey where our know how is particularly well appreciated.
