LGL, Presented Latest Yarn Feed Developments
LGL Electronics is showcasing innovative solutions for yarn feeding and tension control suitable for weaving and knitting machines as well as for other applications.
We made an interview with Francesca Castelli, LGL Sales Director r at ITMA, we talked about the company’s product range and its investments in new trends. Castelli said, “We are making huge investments in research and development. The R & D culture is in the DNA of our company. ”
LGL joined ITMA with a wide product portfolio. What technologies did visitors get to see?
For knitting apllications, we presented Twin, an electronic positive feeder with a yarn retieving function, suitable for bare and covered elastomers as well as for rigid yarn. Another product for knitting machines is REEL, retrieving device for yarn in excess to be installed at the output of different types of feeders, either positive or negative . Iıt keeps yarn tension contact between the feeder and the machine. A furter item for the knitting field is Reattivo, an electronic braket hat keeps the required tension, cor- recting the variations very quickly.
Other product developmnets of the knitting range include the new EcoPower 2 and Ecompact 2. LGL focused on interconnections to factory IT. Systems with remote loading of instructions as well as automated integration with the factory logistics system or with the supply network, and/or with other machines of the production scyle.
How does LGS strive to deliver reliable and new solutions?
We are making huge investments in research and development. The R & D culture is in the DNA of our company. We never confront our customers with a normal product. We always develop value added and innovative products.
What have been your company’s biggest achievements in the past 12 months?
We had a turnover last year was good and this year as everybody we are suffering and so we expect a lot of new customers.
If you assess in terms of export market, what is the importance of Turkey for your company?
Turkey is very important market for us as well as for other European machine manufacturers. It is a very improtant market and the situation in Turkey is affecting also LGL, no doubt.
What are your customers increasingly requesting in terms of your solutions?
They increased in new technolgoy further development what ever can be achieved in terms of not only performance of the machines but also in terms of monitoring of their productions in their plants. This is their demand that they see is growing. But they have also struggle in the ecoınonmical aspect and very strong competition for products from the other couyntries.
What technological trends are you currently seeing in the yarn feeding sector?
I see a very strong interest in the latest technology. And in performing and getting the best performancde of the machines to get a better Quality of products we are in the target of high technology prodfucts so our customers look for them.
What is your approach to sustainability and environmentally friendly products?
For many years, LGL has been committed to the development of technology with low environmental impact. Since 2019, LGL, electronic feeders have been Green certifiedgranting high efficiency and drastic reduction of energy consumption.
