Hakan Arslan, General Manager of Nam Isı
An interview with Hakan Arslan, General Manager of Nam Isı, is included in the “Turkish Textile Machinery Industry” file, which we specially covered in the first issue of the new year. We present our interview, in which we talked about the new activities and projects of Nam Isı, to our valuable readers.
Could you tell us about the investment decision you taken last year, your new building, where it is located and what kind of activities will be carried out?
Our company is growing day by day. Due to the increase in our current capacity our location is insufficient, so we want to continue our business in the factory environment by taking a place in the industrial zone we are in, in order to operate in a wider scope. Our new facility is located in Ergene Industrial Zone. We aim to expand our product range by adding a new product to our activities in the new year. In addition, we plan to increase our production capacity 4-5 times after our new place is completed.
Which criteria do you pay particular attention to in your production?
First of all, we care about using world-class products in the intermediate products we use in production. We always continue our research on this subject to find better and quality products. In addition, we cooperate with global companies to ensure that the spare parts of our product are available in every region of the world.
In which fields do you operate as a company other than burner production?
Apart from the production of burner, we take contracting works from factories and continue the projects related to the transformation of stenter and dryer machines from hot oil to natural gas burning system. In addition, we design burning systems in line with the demands of our customers.
Could you talk about how your productions are in demand domestically and abroad? Which countries do you export to?,
Domestic demands are increasing day by day. In Turkey, the companies which produce 90 percent of stenter and dryer, provide its burners from our company. In addition, as the quality and awareness of our products increase, the demands from textile companies increase intensely.
As Nam Isı, our foreign sales are generally to Europe, South America, Uzbekistan, Egypt, Tunisia. In addition, since we are the supplier of machine manufacturers, we have burners almost all over the world through them.
How did the ongoing pandemic process reflect on your company? How was this year for you and what are your expectations for 2021?
Although some sectors experienced problems during the pandemic process in the world, some sectors were positively affected by the production and supply problems abroad. The textile industry has been one of those positively affected. Textile companies turned to invest due to these increasing demands, and thanks to these investments, they increased by 30 percent and 40 percent. Considering that these demands are not temporary, we anticipate that the textile industry will continue to grow in 2021.
Do you have any works for the ITM 2021 planned to be held in June? What are your expectations from the exhibition?
We think that ITM exhibition held in our country are important for the promotion of our company and our products. For this reason, we usually launch our new products at ITM exhibition. We are currently continuing the R&D work of a new product, and we plan to complete and launch this product at ITM 2021.
