SER Mekatronik Continues to Way With Its Sui Generis Line
SER Mekatronik was established in 2008 to serve the textile machinery of Serteks. Since 2017, SER Mekatronik has become a machine manufacturing company. The company currently continues work with a completely its sui generis line.
We interviewed with Murat Sevilmiş, the General Manager of SER Mekatronik, for our special file named “Turkish Textile Machinery Industry”, which we have prepared for the first issue of this year. Sevilmiş talked about the activities of SER Mekatronik in recent years.
How is the production and supply phase of your machines progressing?
A year ago, we were operating as an assembly plant. We currently have mechanical and design automation teams. All the projects our friends work with here are distributed to other suppliers. The painting process of the materials coming from there is done in our factory. It is then mechanically combined. Then the software and electrical panel are installed. The machines that software done are delivered to our customers.
What kind of innovations have you made in your machines recently?
For the last year, we have reflected our designs on the machines in order to have a different touch with our past experiences. We made a complete renovation in our finishing department. We offer all of our machines such as raising, shaving, open width sanforizing, tube sanforizing to our customers with the touch of SER Mekatronik. We equip our machines with both technological and mechanical innovations. All the equipment that the R&D center has brought to us continues in the same way with our team and new designs emerge in this way.
What are your primary goals in your production?
We continue our works in order to get more production on the same type of machine. We ensure that less energy is consumed while producing more. We try to reflect more production and less energy consumption to our customers in terms of electricity in finishing machines, both electricity and steam in open-width sanforizing machines, electricity and natural gas in stenter machines. In addition, we aim to ensure that all our machines can be remotely monitored, machine maintenance can be done with technological devices such as mobile phones and tablets. We hope to introduce these softwares that we are working on in ITM 2021.
Could you talk about your new investments?
We started investing in machining machines. Right now, we have completed our universal looms. We will continue to carry out these productions under our own structure in order to have high quality, affordable prices and to shorten the supply process completely. We aim to be able to make all the machines that are created in our factory within our own structure.
Could you talk about your dominance in domestic and foreign markets?
In general, our team consists of friends with whom we have been working for years. We continue to serve at home market and abroad with our old staff. In a short time, we progressed very quickly and grew. We are at a good position domestically. The negotiations we make and the markets we are in contact with further increase our confidence in ourselves. We currently continue stenter assembly in the US. We have negotiations to conclude in Europe. Bangladesh, Pakistan and India are the markets we know well. We believe we will be successful here as well.
In terms of the variety of machinery and production volume you have in a short time, 2020 seems to have gone well for you despite the pandemic. What do you attribute this situation to?
Our greatest feature is that we stand by our customers. We act together with the customer and try to fulfill their requests. It is the trust of our customers that brought us to this position. With this confidence, our work progresses positively without getting stuck.
