“The Textile Industry is Booming, Being in ITM 2022 was the Right Choice”
Norbert Klapper, Rieter CEO
ITM 2022 – International Textile Machinery Exhibition hosted many visitors during the five days as the previous one. The machines exhibited by the participating companies attracted the attention of the visitors. The spinning system introduced by Rieter at ITM 2022 is among these products. Autoconer X6, which is a complete ring and compact spinning system from bale to package, offers a new perspective to the textile industry.
Expressing that they are happy to come together with companies and customers operating in the sector after a 3-year break, Rieter CEO Norbert Klapper noted that thanks to ITM 2022, they have the chance to strengthen their ties with their customers and see the current situation of the industry. Stating that the ITM 2022 Exhibition is a very important opportunity for all the participating companies, Klapper indicated that the exhibition met their expectations in general.
Rieter also launched its new product Autoconer X6
Rieter also launched its new product Autoconer X6 at the ITM 2022 Exhibition. With this new machine introduced to the market, the potential for end-to-end transparency and optimization can be achieved in all process phases. According to Klapper, the Autoconer X6 winding machine completes the missing piece that concludes Rieter’s ring and compact spinning system. The faults in the yarns can cause dyeing problems and defects in woven fabrics in the next stages. This product reliably detects undetected faults and imperfections in the yarn. Autoconer X6, which successfully cuts the faulty part and rejoins the yarn, uses the end piecing technology with open prisms for this process. Rieter is currently the only supplier in the world to offer a complete system. For this reason, many industry members visit the Rieter stand to received information about the new product.
“I think that the Turkish market and industry are currently benefiting significantly from the developments in the world. European countries and America tended to procure their supplies from Turkey. This situation triggered many investments, but the process is not yet completed. I fully believe that the Turkish textile industry will develop and strengthen rapidly in the coming years. Coming to Turkey is always a joy for us. Because Turkey is an important market for us. The textile industry is booming. Manufacturers invest. So being in ITM 2022 is the right decision for us.” Klapperr states that despite all these developments, the industry has not yet recovered from the effects of the pandemic.
Recalling that the pandemic has deeply affected the business world, Klapper said that serious disruptions occurred in the supply chains in this period. Klapper said, “We were unable to acquire the necessary components that we urgently needed. Almost everyone has had the same problems. What happened was distressing for us as well as for our customers. I hope that all these problems will be overcome in the coming days and weeks.”
