ITM 2024 Exhibition was flooded with visitors for 5 days. ITM 2024 Exhibition, where machine sales and strong collaborations were made, also succeeded in making the participants smile. Terrot took its place with its newly developed machines at ITM 2024 Exhibition, which continues to be a meeting place for the leading companies and experts of the textile technology industry. As Tekstil Teknoloji dergisi, we interviewed with Terrot General Manager Martin Vorsatz.
Which of your products did you highlight as Terrot at ITM 2024 Exhibition?
We presented our latest innovations and technologies in the field of circular knitting machines. At our booth, we introduced our I3P 196 open width frame (diameter 34’, gauge E32, number of feeders: 108), which is also our Interlock blockbuster Turkey market with Smartex system. The I3P 196 is a highly productive and flexible circular knitting machine producing ‘8-lock’, interlock and modified structures such as double face, punto di roma, milano rib, piqué rodier and also racer mesh with maximum efficiency. Equipped with up to 4 needle tracks in cylinder cam and 2 needle tracks in dial cam the I3P 196 promises maximum flexibility and a wide range of pattern options.
We teamed up in our booth with Smartex, who provide among others a state-of-the-art AI driven error detection system. The Smartex CORE system build-in on our exhibition machine gives the customer the power of latest hardware and software technology to control their fabric production, inspecting every inch of fabric using artificial intelligence algorithms, which are constantly being upgraded.
What kind of benefits do these products introduced at the exhibition provide to the users?
We offered the highest productivity double jersey machine you can have on the market. So this is the best solution we can offer our customers and especially our service. We also have a high quality in spare parts and we try to offer our customers the best solution for all the applications they are looking for.
What are your predictions for the future of textile and how are you preparing for the future as a company?
We expect the demand for double jersey machines to increase, especially for the Turkish market. As a company, we are looking for the best solution for our customers. The sustainability of the machines and at the same time the best fabric quality is important for us. So I think fabric quality is the best value we can offer to our customers. If you have a quality machine, you get the best fabric and it is as sustainable as possible.
Why is ITM 2024 so important for the industry this year?
We have seen a lot of problems in the market. In the past the demand was not so high. But now I think the outlook is very positive. We are expecting a better year for both 2024 and 2025. I am very optimistic that demand will increase and we will see a great potential especially in the double jersey market.
How is ITM 2024 fair going for Terrot?
TM 2024 Exhibition went very well. We are very proud that so many people are interested in our machines and I think this fulfils our expectations.
What kind of collaborations are you signing during the fair?
We have signed the first orders and I think we are on a good way to sign more. We are here to find new opportunities and it is very nice to have the possibility to meet and talk to so many customers and people interested in our machines.
What has changed in the two years since ITM2022?
We now have a new strength as part of the Santoni Group. It was a difficult time for Terrot in the past, but now we are looking forward for a better future.
