Can we get your opinions about the achievements of ITM 2022 Exhibitions for the sector?
Due to the pandemic, we had difficulty promoting the products we had just released for 4 years. On the occasion of ITM 2022, we had the opportunity to make a quick and easy promotion. The biggest advantage of the exhibition is that we can make presentations. This meeting affects both the production power and highlights the sales, marketing and export power of Turkey. We have been in the sector since 1979. Many of the participants are our customers. Our priority expectation from the exhibition was to present the product to the customer. At ITM 2022, we were able to make the promotion and business connections that we would normally do in 5-6 months within five days. We sold our products and established new collaborations. In this respect, ITM 2022 was a very productive exhibition.
Did ITM 2022 Exhibition meet your expectations?
As a company, we are export-oriented. ITM is an international exhibition. So I can say that our expectation has been met. Especially our guests come from Asia, from North Africa. This is where we make the first connections.
What are the features that distinguish the products you exhibited at the exhibition from your competitors and what will be the advantages that it will provide to users?
We exhibited products that have no previous equivalent at the exhibition. These are products that we have not made before. It was here that they met the client for the first time. The world is moving towards protecting nature, being more environmentally friendly, machines and factories with less energy consumption. The machines we exhibited were more compact and convenient, which saves much more energy than their equivalents. Of course, I can say that they are more environmentally friendly at first.
What can you say about the position of the Turkish textile sector?
I hope that the Turkish textile industry will come to a much better place in time and increase its technology investments. Investments are increasing as a result of the shift of the sector from the Far East, Asian countries to our country. At the moment, Turkey is at a level that will compete with the countries of the world both in terms of production and quality. The future is bright.
What are your predictions about the innovations in the denim industry in the world in the near future?
The denim sector is renewed every five, ten years. We are currently observing a return to the past. It is obvious that there is a trend towards more basic, plain trousers and jeans. In the old days, more difficult-to-design trousers were produced. One of the reasons for this change is, of course, the demand of the consumer. I see a return to the past in terms of design and trends.
