“We will Introduce Our New Machine This Year at ITM 2024”

Erbatech GmbH,based in Germany, develops, designs and manufactures high end solutions for wet finishing of knitted and woven fabrics. Erbatech GmbH has become the market leader in solutions specially designed for knit dyers and finishers.
As Tekstil Teknoloji magazine, we interviewed with Timuçin Benal, Sales Manager of Erbatech for our special file on Germany Textile Machinery Industry. Benal talked about the machineries that will exhibit at ITM 2024, their knitted fabric-friendly machines and their continuous finishing machines.
The highlights of the interview are as follows:
“Our Expectation is High from ITM 2024 Exhibition, That’s Why We Enlarged Our Stand”
2023 year was quite a good year for us. Beside our traditional export markets we were able to enter new markets such as Sweden, Egypt and Brasil. We increased the amount and type of machines in those markets. Especially in Europe we were able to sell washing machines and vacuum systems for technical textiles.
ITM has been the most important fair in the region for years and is a dynamic market space where we come together with visitors especially from Turkey, Eastern Europe, North Africa and Central Asia. ITM improves upon it every year and its sectoral importance gradually increases. This year, we are attending this fair with great expectations, and that is why we have enlarged our area at the fair and the machinery we will exhibit. While we were previously exhibiting a cold pad-batch dyeing machine, this year we made a change and decided to bring a different product. This product is a surprise.
The turkish market is very important for us. It is important not only because of its size but also because it has a big impact on other surrounding textile countries. That’s why, as Erbatech, we attach great importance to the Turkish market and are taking steps in this direction. We have a strong service team here and we usually introduce our innovations first to the Turkish market. We will have an innovation this year too and we will exhibit this machine at ITM 2024.
“The Most Important Thing for Brand Awareness is to have a Good Team and Service”
Erbatech’s greatest strength is its large and experienced service team. We try to keep customer satisfaction at the highest possible level with both our installation and post-installation service, especially with our team who has been working with us for years in Turkey. I think the most important thing that can be done for brand awareness is to have a good team and service with low circulation. Erbatech has been presenting itself to its customers in the market with the same faces for years. I think this is a factor that creates trust and directly affects machine sales.
“Thanks to Our Knitted Fabric-Friendly Machines, Production is Rapidly Increasing”
As you know, we produce continuous finishing machines for dyehouses. By their nature, continuous machines allow production with less water and less energy than discontinuous machines. Continuous maches are already common for woven fabric finishing for many years, and thanks to Erbatech’s knitted fabric-friendly machines, production with the continuous system in knitted fabric finishing is increasing rapidly. It paves the way for the industry to be more sustainable and produce with less water and energy. The issue is not just water and energy. As you know, in discontinuous dyeing, the fabric surface is cleared of hairs with enzymes. There are many problems created by this process. Since the fabric is not mechanically disturbed in the continuous process, there is no need to make enzymatic treatment against hairyness. This advantage alone saves dyehouses from an incredible headache.
