Yarn Sector is at the Top of Export Ranking
Yarn exports amounted to approximately 1.8 billion dollars in the first 11 months of 2018. In November, yarn exports increased by 0.9% to 164 million dollars.
The Most Exported Sub-product Group: Yarns from Synthetic- Artificial Filaments
In the January – November period of 2018, the most important sub-product group was the yarns from synthetic-artificial filament fibers with 672 million dollars export value. The share of this product group in total yarn exports was 37.9%. In November 2018, yarn exports from synthetic-artificial filament fibers increased by 3.1%.
THE MOST YARN EXPORT TO ITALY
In the January – November period of 2018, the most important country in the export of yarn was Italy which was made the export to worth 225 million dollars. Yarn exports to Italy increased by 13.3% in November 2018. The UK, Portugal and the Netherlands were among the other important countries in yarn exports.
Looking at the EU (28) countries, which have a share of 61.7% in yarn exports, exports increased by 7.9% in January – November period of 2018 to 1 billion dollars. In November, seems that exports increased by 0.1% to about 95 million dollars.
EXPORTS OF 680 MILLION DOLLARS FIBER IN 11 MONTH PERIOD
Fiber exports increased by 22.3% in January – November period of 2018 and were recorded as approximately 680 million dollars. In November, it was worth 78 million dollars, an increase of 19.7%.
18.7% INCREASE IN SYNTHETIC-ARTIFICIAL FIBERS EXPORTS
In the January – November period of 2018, when fiber exports were analyzed in terms of sub-product groups , seems that the most important sub-product group is the synthetic-artificial fibers recorded the export of about 402 million dollars with an increase of 18.7%. Synthetic and artificial fibers constitute 59.1% of total fiber exports. November 2018 exports of this product group increased by 1.9%.
THE MOST FIBER EXPORTS TO IRAN
In the January-November period of 2018, the most important country in the export of fiber was Iran, which was made the export to worth about 109 million dollars with an increase of 28.6%. Exports of fiber to Iran increased by 18.5% in November 2018. China, Italy and the United States were the other important countries in fiber exports.
